Great place, volunteer-run cinema approx 100 seats with a music venue, cafe, and a radical free library. They show plenty of good films, many too obscure for even 'art house' cinemas, but also classic horror and comedy movies. There is often an art market there on Sundays.
Brilliant community project, they put on lots of activities and groups for locals to enjoy including a knitting and art club. The monthly community kitchen serves brilliant food and atmosphere, a great way to spend time with like-minded people!
What a fantastic venue. Took part in a Gig with Somevoices and the volunteers could not have worked any harder to help make the event a success. A massive thank you. I look forward to visiting the community library, having a cuppa in the cafe and visiting the cinema. A feel community hub.
Went to a film have been there before. Cheap, volunteer run. Good range of quirky films you won't see much elsewhere. Only other arthouse cinema in Newcastle is the Tynaside Cinema. Also well worth a look.
This is an art house cinema and community venue. It has a cafe and a library. It is well worth I visit. I was there in a Sunday and had a vern good cup of coffee.
Friendly venue and enjoyable atmosphere Superb performance on classical guitar by Alexandra Whittingham her first in Newcastle ! and violin by Elodie Chousmer-Howelle. It would be wonderful to see either or, better still, both, again The carols at the end were a lovely touch
Great little community run space, went there for RootCastle, will defo be back for further events here. Staff were lovely also.
Great place. Great staff. Fabulous food. I'm not vegan but love what they do with the food. So tasty, and free. Daisy is allowed in which is great too. There is a cinema there. Arts n crafts, library though no detective novels Cafe too. Lots more on offer. You have to visit this place to appreciate it. All volunteers who make it the success it is. Can't praise the staff enough
Played some great gigs here over the years. Good crowd and a good community ethos
Incredibly attentive and sweet staff, and delicious food and drinks. A fantastic place to spend a day!
