First time here since it was taken over, absolutely beautiful Sunday lunch. I had sirloin and my wife had slow cooked brisket, just melted in your mouth. Various veg, cooked perfectly, topped with a lovely gravy. We were stuffed but couldn't resist a dessert, I had sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. Staff were so friendly and service was impeccable, can't wait to go back and try a steak as they look amazing...
First time visiting tonight. Food was delicious. I had the pan fried sea bass, hubby had the squid/pork/ belly pork spewers. Very tasty. Prompt service with a lovely smile. We ate in the restaurant which was lovely. We’ll visit again most definitely.
Come here when biking to and from seaham, this was the first time trying the food and I'm so sad I didn't sooner. Loved it. We got the Freshly baked bread plate with dipping butter £6 and the beef dripping chunky chips £4.50 both were really good.
Came for lunch today with a friend who has food allergies. The menu, as at most places, was full of spices etc. But after explaining to the lady serving she was brilliant and assured us that the chef would prepare my friend’s dishes separately to her requirements and there would be no cross contamination. The food was great for both of us. I would heartily recommend.
Not been to this place for years but it didn't disappoint. Great food, knowledgeable about allergies and checked if unsure. Excellent quality. Good value and good choices too.
