Lovely walks with lots of benches to take in the view, a perfect place to take the family as there are lots of play areas for all ages even including a zip line! And if that's not your thing there are loads of hides and peaceful areas to walk through and explore nature. There is also a great cafe and toilets too!
Come here often to walk the dog. Great views, different pathways so always something new to see. Lovely shack, for beverages and snacks. Pay for parking 3.80 for the day so reasonable. Play area for the children.
Easy parking with plenty of room. The park was busy but never felt crowded. There’s plenty to do and see. There’s an adventure playground, great walking and cycling paths and info boards with historical and nature facts. We’ll worth a visit for a fun and cheap day out.
Lovely area. Took the 2 kids and they loved it. The walk around the lakes in great with so much wildlife. Will definitely be returning and using their BBQ area. Playgrounds for all ages, assault course, zip line and a splash area. Seating inside, cafes, picnic areas and reasonable parking price of 4.50 for the day. Definitely recommend this place to anyone.
A beautiful place for a day out! Been to Stanwick lakes several times with my little one and we always have a lovely day. It's about £4.50 for a days parking, there's a lovely cafe although a little expensive! And the adventure play area is amazing! Make sure you bring a change of clothes/waterproof clothes and wellies, for you and the kids! There's a large water play area and you will all get wet There's several picnic tables, beautiful walking routes and wildlife to see. Highly recommend a day out to Stanwick lakes.
Beautiful well kept nature park which so much to do and see. Family weekend walk round the trails did not disappoint. Plenty of open spaces for kids to run around. A treehouse which the kids found really engaging and finishing off the trail on one of the many playgrounds in the area. Truly was a fantastic, well kept park. And for parking for the whole day £4.50 for the whole day was not bad either.
Another place I've driven by and never gone into. Well took the time on a Sunday afternoon to investigate. What is it all about? Well there are many little lakes in what used to be a quarry area and it is now a beautiful place indeed. Large playgrounds for the kids and miles of paths to walk. Birdies and wildlife is everywhere. Much recommended to visit to escape.
We come here all the time, I think it's around £4 parking for the day and there is so much to do, whether it's raining or blazing hot. The highlight is the main play area, which has different sections by age group. The climbing area for big kids is extensive, as are the ones for smaller children. There is a water play feature which is honestly the best one in the area - we come in our rain gear or in our swim costumes, the water feature is really incredible. On weekends and during holidays when it's warm, it gets arguably too busy but we often come during the week and have the place to ourselves. On top of that, you are actually surrounded by beautiful lakes, woodland walks and a centre that puts on all kinds of fantastic skills and forestry activities. The food at the café and the centre itself are also very good. Playground: Amazing playground with water/fountain features and climbing areas, slides and swings for every age Restrooms: Great facilities, accessible I think the main doors have an accessible button, am sure there is an accessible bathroom
Beautiful place with a newly redone children's play area, in addition to the existing cycling / walking trails, bike rentals that don't break the bank, birdwatching, water birdwatching by the lake, and a little cafe. Love it!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Nice place for a day out with nature. The children's playground is at the entrance and then you can go on a walk, two marked trails 1. Adventure trail where you have different play areas, tree house rock climbing 2. Time trail that takes you through iron age bronze age etc.. there is a dedicated barbeque area as well.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
