Our trusted car mechanic of over 30 years retired recently, we went into a panic of where to find a garage we could trust and rely on. The gods must have been smiling on us when we chose Stan Reynolds out of the local Pioneer book, we liked that they were a family run business. And my goodness what a find, they now service our 3 cars. The level of service they provide is amazing, so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, they all make you feel a valued customer... and they are darn good mechanics too !... very knowledgeable ! We would highly recommend this garage, long may they continue trading !.

Got a quote from this garage for a cam chain/cam belt/water pump and general cam belt change. part way through i get told there is an issue removing a part, but after a week of waiting the part is removed. then im told that the part needed checking because of the force that was used to remove (fair enough) then im told that the company wont check them and we need £400/500 pounds worth of new parts. (4 injectors) then i wait about 5 days for them to get back to me. so i get annoyed and call. at this point since the last point nothing has been done. i ask why they cannot try another company to check the parts. they said that is an option.... (an option lol. surely that should have been first point of call??) anyway i say this and tell them to get the parts tested, then wait a few more days. hear nothing back. so contact and ask whats going on. they reply. "sorry we've been busy, nothings been done still" lol.. so obviously i wasn't happy. i contacted 5 local companies and supplied the contact details. then waited a few more days.. phoned back to be told they had been taken there that day. which means they sat there another few more days before being delivered. so my car was sat there for 2 weeks since being taken appart without even a thought about what to do with it nor any contact.. (at this point they had it about 4 weeks. when the parts came back they were fine to use. then after about another week or two i contact to ask whats going on and im told that they are doing my car in there spare time because they are busy lol. next they contact me to tell me its been built but its rattling loads and they beleive that 4 of the lifters have gone. anyone that knows a car well enough knows that this is most likely to not looking after the parts propperly while the car has been sat about for weeks. then buy lifters for it. dismantle and partially rebuild it and tell me they have found a tight spot. and ask me whether im happy to build with a tight spot? this is something you should never do. its guaranteed to damage the engine. so why ask to rebuild it with that problem? i said no. then on the phone the engineer tried to get me to agree that i would "pay for whatever needs paying for to fix the car" over the phone. again i refused to agree with this and said i was only happy to pay for what i requested and any problems that may have been there prior that im told about and agree too.... we argued and i was forced to mention contacting the motor ombudsman. after this they got off the phone. took the car apart again. rebuild it and contacted me about 10 days later telling me it was done and they had found some shrapnel that had been dropped in the engine during the rebuild that was casing the tight spot. so entail. they had messed up and had been avoiding the fact for some time. they tried to get me to agree to things that may damage my car. they they quoted me including all the original parts needed (water pump/cam belt etc) and then added those parts to the cost they billed me nearly double what they quoted and to top it off they returned the car back to me with a broken rear suspension spring and told me.... we didn't do it, so we aint paying for it... pretty sure i would have noticed a broken suspension spring that makes a-lot of noise. anyway at that point i had enough and decided to leave with the broken spring as they had my car for 2 months already. i believe that if the jobs goes well these people are probably sound to use but if something goes wrong they dont like to admit it and there customer service is awful

I Live in Redditch a good 40 mins from the garage but always travel the distance to use martin and the team- I won't go anywhere else! Trusted garage who are very friendly and very fair on the prices charged for quality work ! Tried the local hiq garage a while back as I was pushed on time and they failed to do any work - couldn't even find car on system where as the team at Stan Reynolds did all that was asked and more ! With a household of 6 cars I will continue to bring my prized possessions to the team !
