Lovely interesting little place. First time back in there after many years, was surprised to see it was still open, but very happy it is/was... Nice little bar!

What a lovely quirky place for a good beer and scratchings like something off the telly

I know this isn't really a review as such. But, I used to come here with my Dad before he died. But I've not been able to come back since because it just wouldn't feel right without him. But to anyone reading this 'review' just know that it's a lovely bar with an old but peaceful feeling to it with a good selection of local ales. Thank you Stalybridge Buffet Bar for giving me some good memories with my brilliant Dad.

Lovely station platform pub. Lots of well kept real ales.

£9.90 for a pint and half. It’s good, but not that good. Street food was very nice. And the ambience is a rarity these days. Good atmosphere and a lovely pint. Just a bit too much on the pricey side for me.

Now THIS place is a real find. One should go even if you're not catching a train. I discovered it whilst awaiting an hour-long connection at Stalybridge. It's terrific. Great beers. Friendly staff. Genuine locals. A real fire. And .... no need to have a designated driver. TransPennine and Northern takes care of that.

What a super place - great selection of beers and friendly staff. Well worth a change of trains for a visit
