Story

A building as much a part of Manchester's history as any other.

200 years old, built towards the end of the Industrial Revolution, it has housed all manners of Manchester's finest. From cotton, to gangsters, to being one of the worlds most infamous Jazz Clubs outside The States showcasing Ronnie Scott, Horace Silver, Dexter Gordon and being a drinking spot for Ella Fitzgerald & Buddy Rich after gigs.

Not to mention the small fact that Coldplay signed their professional contract whilst performing at a battle of the bands on our ground floor.

Bipolar Sunshine started the new wave June 2016 with a secret 100 capacity gig.

Bias opinion because I was DJing there but despite, great venue, staff, including the door staff, not stuffy. Bar upstairs and intimate club downstairs. Decent respectful crowd as well

Went here with a friend for an after work drink as there were plenty of tables available. Despite how quiet it was in terms of patrons, we couldn't hear each other speak and left after 1 drink as the basement occupied by another business seemed to be having a drumming competition.

Pleasant staff. Cold beers. Comfortable and great sounds 

Great basement area for a dark rave!

Bit dark and dingy for my liking. Needs a facelift.

Cool bar/club in northern quarter, some nights really cool music, I went when Mihai Pol played, the security do a good job to make sure that it's not overcrowded and are friendly.
