I love the ticket office at Stafford railway station! It's got a lovely warm, welcoming and local feel to it, especially with the metal letters spelling out the name recycled drinks cans, a project with Protean Art, I'm guessing. There's a book exchange, if you need to pick up something for a long journey, and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.
The station is big enough, you can go to many directions. There is a restroom, but very dirty and smelly. There is a Starbucks and a beautiful park not far away. Nice waiting room and not just one. There is a handy information board. Friendly staff
I wonder if Stafford is anything to do with a wizards staff?nnI like wizards. They’re a bit like trains because they can magic you to different places!nnThis is a really lovely train station with a WHSMITHS AND A STARBUCKS! I have never had as good decaf coffee as I have had at this Starbucks, probably to do with magic too!nnReally cool, really exciting, and they have a lift! I will definitely come back for a visit again soon!
Great station for train spotting and great connections links to different cities
Usually don’t have problems there, apart from delays and cancellations which isn’t the stations fault, but this time had an atrocious experience…nnJust missed the train home, so had to wait just over an hour for the next train as it was delayed, a train pulls up and I’m asking the ignorant man who works for the station he looked at me acknowledging he’d heard me when’s the next train to my town… he proceeds to ignore me till the train doors close, while constantly looking around, and proceeds to tell me the next one’s in just over an hour, you should of gotten on this one he say.nI ask can he open the doors so I can quickly get on, I’ve been waiting over an hour already… he ignores me again and looks around again like he’s trying to pretend I don’t exist.nnIn my defence the board just said London Euston, didn’t mention anything about my town like it used to with the Via or calling at, so how was I to know it’s my train when even the board on the platform and train didn’t say and that unprofessional male ignored me.nnSo thanks for making a disabled person waste money and hours waiting at your station… got there in not much pain and left seized up and in agony.
