Get a nice day and this is a good carboot to visit, you just never know what you will come across. Being on common ground, there's no charges for parking, or even the pitch but you will have to get there early on a fine weather day, because it can sometimes get busy.nThere's the normal stuff like mobile toilets, a few bins dotted around and usually plenty of food and drink vendors.nHandy enough to get to, just follow the A34 and it's slap bang there just before Stafford Town centre. But even though the ground looks flat, don't let it fool you, there plenty of ups and downs and the odd hole in that field so don't let your lady go in her best high heels, if you know what I mean
We visited the stafford carboot today as sellers. We arrived at 6am & were shown to a space by very organised wardens. Buyers are rummaging through your things & asking if you have certain items jewellery, pottery, etc before you can breathe. We were having a relatively good time before my dad, who had a stall next to us, had a pair of trainers stolen. He was asked multiple times about these trainers by a few foreign men who all seemed to keep congregating together. One of these such men asked him a question on one side of his table while a foreign lady somehow & rather quickly made the trainers dissappear!! About an hour later while topping up my table, I noticed I had a brand new, unopened face cream set missing too!! It was only priced at £5 originally £40 but regardless it was gone without payment. We didn't see any wardens/ staff anywhere to report the issue but to be fair I doubt they can do anything anyway. Its a shame that a few disgusting people can ruin your interactions with otherwise amazing buyers, who were just popping along to grab a bargain. It's also a shame that an eagerly anticipated outing leaves you suspecting everyone & constantly looking over your shoulder....
Went to the fair. Easy parking. Few rides mostly the same. Food OK priced but bit tasteless. Weather was bad so not many there.
Enjoyed the morning ,plenty of sellers,lots to look at ,bargains to be had ,good parking highly recommend
Ok nice variety of stuff for sale Food & drinks available Took a steady 2 hour walk round.
