Wore my blasphemy t-shirt looking for a good smiting, but it was not to be. I've now visited four of god's abodes and, to be honest, this was the most disappointing. Loved the windows, quite liked the grotesques but the rest of it was fairly ordinary. The architect had an off day when this was designed. Hosanna? More like Lowsanna.
Beautiful church with loads of history in scenic village setting
Lovely architecture and a fascinating collection of grotesques..no not gargoyles. Apparently there's a difference depending on where the water shoots out. Either way, they're ugly but oddly attractive at the same time.
I called in here by chance on a cold wet morning and was immediately aware of the warmth and beauty of this wonderful church. A very nice lady took time to show me around and explained some of the many artifacts and stories surrounding the old abbey and church. This is a must see if you ever come to Winchcomb.
Beautiful church, with stunning windows. There are lots of things for kids to do, it is an eco-church : and lovely visit all around.
