Quiet, peaceful and beautiful church nestled in the age old tiny village of Camerton. Friendly helpful church wardens and Organist. A must visit during the summer on the way to Wells or Bath!
I was christened in this church April 1947,by the then incumbent the Right Reverend Stephens,under the name of Peter Bridges,my Mother was born in Camerton and my Father was a Peasdown lad in the Village of Peasdown some four miles away,the whole area was owned by the National Coal Board and put to good use as it was a huge coal field area,Camerton/Peasdown and Writhlington as I remember!!!,had many happy times times there as a lad!!! Peter BRIDGES.
Characterful and fascinating for its architecture, links with celebrated and tragic 19th C cleric Revd Skinner and Carew family tombs. Friendly parish church for Sunday worship
Beautiful church in such an extremely pretty setting.
