Beautiful City icon that rises majestically above the Thames River The self-guided tour is comprehensive. There is more than enough information for a whole day. We spent 1.5hrs in the Knave, Domes, Galleries and Crypt. Go early 0830-1000 as the crowds build up later. We were staying nearby and so we passed by the lovely building every day. Feel more connected to St Paul’s as a result of the visit. Highly recommended.
Beautiful with incredible views from the top after climbing 528 steps.nnIn my opinion the lighting inside the cathedral needs updating. You can hardly see the beautiful mosaics. It would be so easy to light them properly.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is breathtaking—its dome, architecture, and history are worth every second of your visit. But I must confess, the real miracle happened outside. While stretching and goofing around in front of the cathedral, I leaned backward over one of the bollards and—crack!—the most satisfying back realignment of my life. I stood up taller, freer, borderline reborn.nnSo yes, come for the awe-inspiring beauty and spiritual gravitas—but stay or bend for the unexpected spinal blessings.
We visited St. Paul’ Cathedral at London during our trip. The cathedral is one of the most famous and recognisable sights of London. It is well known for its spiritual as well as architectural design. The cathedral witnessed two weddings: in 1981 Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer; and in 1501 Prince Arthur eldest son of King Henry VII wed Princess Catherine. You can purchase a ticket or visit free spiritually. A visual and artistic treat to a visitor.
One of the most majestic and awe inspiring places I have ever been to. This is an absolute must see if you’re in London. Not only tons of rich history and cultural significance here, but just as a building, it’s an architectural marvel.nnIt’s also home to the tombs for a few important English figures like Admiral Nelson, Florence Nightingale, to name a few.nnYou can also get to the top of the cathedral itself to get some breathtaking views of the city and great photos. Forewarning though, it’s A LOT of stairs to climb, going up and down.
