Yesterday 12/02/2023 - my daughter & I visited St Nicholas Church & graveyard & we were given a wonderful welcome by a lady of the congregation & very kindly gave us a coffee & biscuits - we were looking for my Great Grandfather's grave -- James Barcroft originally from Edgeside Hall . Phil was very helpful & got the old registration books out & found James Barcroft details .which was very helpful , unfortunately we could'nt find the grave - some stones had fallen down , but we will visit again . Thank you again - God Bless you all Veronica Roper
