First visit to this restaurant and it certainly won’t be the last. We booked a table in advance and where pleasantly surprised by how quaint and relaxing the restaurant was. We were greeted with smiles and shown to our table. We ordered a drink whilst looking at the menu and it was so nice not to be rushed. We ordered starters and I have to say the mussels were the best I ever had. Mains were served with excellent wine. The guy came with the parmigiana which was a nice touch . We came out some two hours later having had a lovely meal and great service . Many Thanks and see you soon .

Ate at this little gem tonight, food was great and the portions were large. The Calzone dessert was incredible. Special thanks to Maddie who served us- she was wonderful and really made our evening

Very tasty food, generous sized portions and friendly staff.

Stayed in Buxton as going to Theatre.  Restaurant recommended by bed n breakfast.  So glad we booked a table, staff welcoming and attentive but not intrusive.  The best meal out we've had in a long time.  Beautiful locally sourced steak, seasonal veg and beautiful desserts to choose from.  Don't let the outside put you off, definitely a  gem of a find.   Next time we're visiting will definitely be back.

We were very delighted to find this restaurant during a mini break in Buxton. The service was great and the food was even better! We were seated upstairs in a Switzerland decor themed dining area which felt like we were in a ski lodge in the alps! We had risotto, ravioli and gnocchi and each dish was honestly just delightful! Our waitress was so friendly and engaging and wanted us to let her know if my husband passed his driving test we were in Buxton for and I am happy to report he did!

Salads are on the smaller side. Pistachio Ice Cream is absolutely delicious!Food: 4/5

We came in as a group of 9 people on a Saturday night. Our waiter was energetic and absolutely on the ball. He really added to the experience, making sure to be in tune with customers. Food was hearty portions, and nobody was disappointed

It’s a little restaurant with a big heart.  Very good food and lovely atmosphere,  I prefer upstairs where you can totally get the St Moritz vibe.   Service is friendly and overall an easy to recommend venue for light meals and full on dishes that demand an elasticated waistband.  Pudding rating : Very good.

Visited Buxton for a couple days and really happy to have found this place. Food was great and so were the two servers in at the time. Got there early which seemed to be a good time to get a table because they were fully booked later.

Lovely food and pleasant staff. Room a little dark as we were at the back, but ok.  Disappointed that we weren't told the specials of the day and only learnt this as the next table arrived. Couldn't fault the flavoursome food. Crab cake starter very nice
