"This is the place where we can all put aside our everyday cares and just let our hair down and have fun. If life is truly a beach, then the St Mildred's Bay is the place to come for all-day coffee, drinks and casual foods, sundowners on a summer's evening, stylish yet informal , take-out meals to eat along the seafront. On warm evenings, the terrace is there for you to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over the English Channel; but at those times when rain and wind batter our southeast coast, then we can snuggle up and enjoy the drama of the view from behind weatherproof panoramic windows, inside in dry comfort and warmth. There is no better position from which to enjoy the beauty of our southeast coast."

OMG what a perfect Sunday roast. Ambient and dimly lit with great staff that couldn't do enough and welcomed our dog. The food was just delicious we were all.happy with our meals. Meat cooked to perfection. Only gripe more cauliflower cheese to share for 3 would have been appreciated as it was so GOOD. The roast potatoes were tasty but could have been a bit more crispy. Wine selection was extensive. Great wine glasses and cutlery - I am a stickler for that!! All in all a great experience and we will be back !!!
Great family restaurant. Came with my family one of whom is in a wheelchair and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was great too, presented nicely and very tasty. Fab spot on the sea front! Wheelchair accessibility: Good!
Had high hopes that this restaurant was going to be good . Sadly, came away disappointed. Food was well presented and tasted okay. The service was very poor. The staff seemed disorganised and in some cases lazy. Had to collect our drinks on the tray from the bar ourselves as got fed up waiting for them. At that point two of the staff were stood at far end of restaurant having a natter. Our plates weren't cleared after we finished, whilst one young lady lent over into thr kitchen just chatting away for ages to the chef with her back to our table. If you're going to run a restaurant have someone responsible supervising the staff. It was busy, as I'm sure it always is , given its position and its very well presented. I think I would think about going back if the service hadn't been so poor. Perhaps, it isn't always like that but can only go with what I experienced on the day.
Beautiful Sunday lunch had at the St Mildred's Bay, gorgeous beach front views. Staff all friendly and attentive and food was excellent. Look forward to returning again soon
I have been a few times in the past 6 months. I have always found the staff really friendly, attentive and very helpful. The restaurant is also dog friendly which is a massive bonus. The food has always been fantastic. Can't fault them really.
We had the most amazing Sunday roast, staff very friendly and a great service, would definitely recommend. Book so not to be disappointed.
Very welcoming staff. Lovely ambience with amazing views over the bay. Varied menu from snacks to main meals. Sharing platter was delicious.
I had genuine high hopes for this restaurant. Great vision in having remodelled the former ‘Pavs’, done to a great standard and taking full advantage of the bay views. A true value add to Westgate. Eaten or drinks alone many times for lunch, dinner and snacks. Food always to a good clean standard, partially reflected in the price. Lunchtime pasta was amazing. My last visit resulted in a discrepancy over a tip. It was settled but I left feeling there was intent, not a genuine mistake. I don’t expect to be compromised by any payment, and certainly not a tip where I am showing appreciation and discretion. I won’t say I won’t return but the next time will be much more transactional.
I've been here twice over 3 days. 50/50 experience. 1st visit - great. Waitress was excellent, very friendly. Food was nice. Returned today with extended family. Was told 40 minute wait for food, then not a few minutes later this turned into a 1hr 30mins wait we were told. When queried with the sullen faced waitress, her response was to get the supervisor. He wasn't much better and we were fobbed off again. I asked if he had staffing issues, was told no... our conclusion is that they were trying tactics to turn us away because we had children with us. Who knows? Extended family decided to leave, we stayed. We were told they had large bookings. It was busier Friday when we went and it never got busier all the time we were there today. Curly haired waitress deserves praise, she was friendly and welcoming as any waitress should be. The young sullen one needs more training, she is not suited to be front of house staff. The only other interaction with her was she gave out the menus without saying a word or a smile. Only here for the bank holiday break, put a dampner on an otherwise lovely day at the beach
Went for breakfast, my partner ordered a bacon sandwich and the bacon was off, my mum had egg Benedict and the eggs where raw in the middle, and my full English was definitely not worth the money! Waiter did not have the correct attitude and manager made us feel like we was the issue! No apology nothing! Left feeling hungry
