12 week scan where to start? Half hour appointment no more like 2 hours!nnFirst off being sat in a waiting room what was not busy for over 1 hour due to them forgetting to register you when turning up… even tho we asked 3 times when we would be seen and about holding in going to the loo was told to go for half a piss. What a joke that was….nnThen being in the scan and feeling like your being rushed is the next joke absolutely shamble of a hospital in my opinion!nnTo the lady that took the bloods I give you 5* as you was actually kind and thoughtful when taking them and did not make us wait like everyone else
I gave birth to our baby boy in March and received faultless care throughout. Birth plan definitely did not go to plan and I had to have nearly every intervention you could imagine to enable our baby to arrive safely. I felt extremely well cared for throughout and was very well informed and consented. I wasn’t rushed or pushed in to having interventions. All the staff were brilliant, especially Zoe and Verity and their student midwives. Thank you to the whole team.nnPre birth I was really concerned about having our baby at Poole due to reviews and CQC report. However my experience was the best it could have been in the circumstances. Would recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to go to Poole again if we are lucky enough to have another baby in the future.
Wonderful staff, hygiene and services. Had our first baby here in April 2024 and can't fault a thing. My partner was induced, they explained everything they did, answered every question even the stupid ones and were careful and gentle. We were moved to the labour ward, never went without help or someone checking on us. Every midwife we had was absolutely excellent! Notably, Rachel, Zoe, Amy and Mika and the students they were teaching. Can never say how much we appreciate all the help they gave! Baby delivered through a c section. operation went amazingly, kept us updated and kept my partner calm and the aftercare was just the same.nOnly downside is the parking situation but that is out of their control unfortunately so 5/5.nThank you to the whole team!!
Gave birth last year here. First baby so understandably very nervous. Felt no reassuring or comforting members of staff throughout my labour. Begged for pain relief. Vomited on the floor on multiple occasions despite pressing the button for assistance. Post birth sutures wrong and fell out before even 24 hours had passed.nBefore my labour they missed my hypertension after being sent to triage form community midwife appointment. Luckily I took it upon myself to go back again after being discharged with no plan whatsoever. Admitted for induction after started antihypertensive medication. The older midwife I saw told me I was lucky I hadn't developed preclampsia.nWouldn't recommend to anyone. And certainly will not be going back if I'm lucky to have a second child.
Had my first baby here last week. I couldn’t recommend Poole maternity anymore. As someone who suffers with bad health anxiety the whole team especially Caitlin, Becky, Niamh & Lauren were so reassuring and calming. I ended up needed an episiotomy and the care during and after were second to none. Couldn’t recommend them more.
