One of the best coffees I have ever had. Very friendly people, very nice environment. You can have your coffee and cake just in the woods in the park! If you want to rest for awhile this is the best place. Five stars is too less :
It is a very nice church. Nice people. Quite modern in it's worship
The Beacon cafe attached to this church is excellent. Very popular and offering a good range of home made cakes and treats as well as a good range of hot and cold snacks. Very nice coffees and teas. Excellent service and a 'buzzing' atmosphere.
Lovely friendly staff and volunteers, great coffee and lovely food. Reasonably priced too.
The Beacon used to be amazing when it was run by Paul. I haven't been for a couple of years and decided to take some friends there for lunch.nWe booked a table the day before, as one of our party has limited mobility. When we arrived, they knew nothing of our booking and ended up pushing two tables together by the door, so we were sat in the draft.nThe standard of food has gone downhill immensely, and the available choices are limited. Nothing compared to what it was.nWe were a party of five and all our food came at different times, so we weren't eating together. The food took so long that our drinks were cold by the time it arrived.nLastly, I was SHOCKED at the prices! It cost nearly £80 for lunch for five people - and all we had were sandwiches and a couple of jacket spuds...nThis is all such a shame as it used to be excellent!
