What a beautiful place as far as a church and cemetery go. I go frequently to chat to my auntie and the place is so peaceful, serene and its a beautiful natural environment. You can gather your thoughts and take time to breathe.
In not a church goer and neither an I a religious person. I attended this church for the funeral of a family friend.nThis church is quite large with lots of pews and an audio system for the vicar to speak, although this has the tendancy to make this less personal!nThere is a small car park approx 100 or so paces away from the main doors. Which have many steps down into the main church. There is also additional parking a little further away.nThe church ground no longer appear to be in use for burials as we all walked to the very nearby local authority burial ground, with its views across the countryside.
A historic building, dating from the 12th cent. and onwards. Open most days until dusk. The history of the parish is reflected in the cemetery and memorials inside the church.
I got married here this year. The church is well run by father Michael and the church committee. The congregation are warm and welcoming. The Sunday Eucharist is a must I keep going back here even tho it's a 40min drive.
