This school has gone down hill since Joanne Hesford has been appointed Head Teacher, Good teachers such as Steven Knox has been sacked for stupid reasons and many teachers have left over the course of the year. She also makes it so students don't really have a choice with their subjects anymore when it should be up to the students because it is their future they are changing and not letting them pursue it.

I used to be a student at this academy and feel that once Mrs Hesford came along it went downhill she made s4 pupils pick what she wanted them to take and not the other way around. Mrs Hesford also has a tendency to speak to any and every student in the school, regardless of age.. In an Extremely condescending tone, making it very hard to have a genuine conversation about any problem with her, as you feel like and it seems very much like she does not care at all. She also apparently wasn't very friendly with the painters that have now pained the inside of the school purple and white! She also got them in during school hours to paint the walls rather than during the school holidays which meant we could be late for classes as halls where blocked off and pupils ended up getting sore heads from the paint. No wonder pupils couldnt get work done as they had sore heads! A teacher at the school has recently been sacked from his job for what i feel is a stupid reason as it is his job to do what he did! Overall Miss McIntyre was a good headteacher and sad to see her go for personal reasons and not happy with new improvements to the school which is making teachers leave.

I go here I’ve been there for about a year now and I hate it I want to move everyone here is bad they bully and don’t pay attenchion in class so it leads to not learning
