St Luke’s is the local hospice for Harrow and Brent. We care for people whose illnesses are no longer curable, enabling them to achieve the best possible quality of life.

Mission

To provide specialist palliative care free of charge to people with advanced, progressive illnesses, which addresses their physical, emotional, social and spirutual needs thus enhancing their quality of life and supporting their families and carers.

It has taken me nearly a year to write this review. My mother passed away 5th September 2022 at St Luke's Hospice. I am an only child. No father around. Went though this experience of watching my mother deteriorate and die aged 85 alone. Have to say the care provided by the nurses and carers was exceptional. Their interaction with my mother defined the word kindness. The leadership and senior doctors however lacked compassion and were led by ego. As my mother deteriorated, they were more focused on discharging her as she had not died within two weeks. Note half the place was empty so the argument re needing beds was nonsense. The day my mother passed I was still arguing that morning with the consultant in charge who claimed my mother was stable/improving and should be discharged back to a care home or even her home. They were outsourcing death. So condescending in the way they spoke to me. My mother passed away just after 5.00pm that day. The doctors strangely vanished after that. My only other comment would be the hospice has no follow-up post death. Felt very much alone through the journey and dealing with the hospice. Outside of the nurses and carers, dealing with the doctors felt like a fight because of funding. Have not bothered to complain as in my experience nobody really listens. Happy to talk to anyone who wants to understand more or needs support at such a difficult time.
I am happy to see such an institution, It's The Asset to Society... I will be happy to help in any and every possible way.

They took care of my dad for the last few days of his life. I want to thank the staff for allowing him to pass away peacefully in my mothers arms. A place of Care from the moment you step into the professional supportive atmosphere that embraces the very essence of St Lukes Charity's Hospice. From a bustling Day Care Support Hub,to the In Patient Services that work seemingly seamless with both Patients and Visitors. Truly inspiring despite circumstance.
Lovely shop with very friendly and attentive staff. James and Belinda do a wonderful job, and I thoroughly enjoy my regular visits.
A wonderful place. The environment peaceful and staff provide a gold service to patients and all thier visitors. Thank you for looking after mum.
Disappointed with the staff. The cleaning it is some times not very good and looks a bitter messy. I didn't like so much this hospice comparing with others hospices that are better.
Really looked after my father! Great support!
