An attractive and quite imposing Norman tower, known locally as Gundulf's Tower after the Bishop of Rochester who possibly oversaw its construction. The inside is not normally accessible, but there is no admission charge. Easily reached from the Manor Park country park which has ample parking and is also well worth a visit

A nice historical site. Apart from that, it's pretty much abandoned - you'll just have to pop by yourself and cannot get into the tower without calling the council. Still an English Heritage site but the membership will make no difference as it is pretty much free access

Very nice little ruin of a tower,if you want to go in you have to ring the parish and they meet you with a key. No proper parking. Sandwich and read a book type of thing, nice though.

St Leonard's Tower is a National Trusty site that could be easily missed if you don't know about it. Set in the picturesque town of West Malling in Kent, St Leonard's Tower was built as a Norman keep. The tower was built by Bishop Gundulf around 1080 and is still in pretty good condition considering being nearly 1000 years old. Take the time to visit this truly wonderful building, you will not be disappointment.
