Worst care home ever very disappointed in this care home my dad was in here and had to find a alternative care home as I felt he was being neglected by staff also had my dads stuff go missing and items broken in his room and when I complained was told my dad could of done it but he was bed bound which made no sense he couldn't move as they never got him out of bed and wen he moved to another care home turned up looking like a homeless man smelly and unshaven and no transfer paperwork or meds what a disgrace and bad management alot of the staff also didn't speak much English and this was not good as dad couldn't understand most of them which made the stay worse eventually he escaped this nightmare. RIP Alec potter 1944/2023
Shocking 'care' home! My Grandad was there for 2 weeks before he died. The staff didn't once look after him. I know for a fact that they didn't check on him, they didn't give him drinks of water, they left him on his own all day! Never shaved him, or washed him. Disgusting! Do NOT put your loved ones in this home. The staff should be ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!
My Father is cared for with the greatest respect and I could not ask for a place better equipped to deal with his complex needs. St Judes has a warm, family like atmosphere and is filled with caring and efficient staff. There is a genuine warmth that radiates throughout St Judes which can clearly be seen in the reflecting smiles of residents faces. I Would recommend St Judes to anyone who is considering seeking residential services for a loved one. Son of resident.
Terminally ill mother, left in a room bedframe was all scratched. Had to ask for fresh water as when we visited the jug of water was always off smelt bad. Had to constantly ask for fresh water and straws as mum couldn't hold cup on her own and when visiting was distressed. When my mum was about to die and we didn't know it. a nurse who looked like she just woke up dishevelled and tired looking, and pulled back her sheet showed us her discoloured feet and muttered in a strong foreign accent to which I had to ask her to repeat" this here is sign circulation. "Shortly after we left my mum passed away, my father received a telephone call from same nurse, that he had to arrange for the body to be collected as it can't be kept in a warm room. During that following few days we were as a family all in shock and turmoil. Nobody contacted us about mums death being registered by gp or about her personal belongings.I had to phone on my father's behalf. When I called to speak to manager she didn't understand why I was calling. She had to look into what happened after my mum died. Her dressing gown went missing.she wasn't seen by gp until 6hours after she died. My mother was treated like an awkward situation with no decent respect for her or her family. How dare they treat my mum and family with such insensitivity and disregard.
I have always found the staff pleasant and polite. I feel my mum is well cared for and although is always never negative. I have no doubt she is happy in a clean and comfortable environment.
I very much enjoyed my stay at St Judes Nursing Home. I will be upset when I leave but I'll definitely come back to St Judes Nursing Home.
Rude stuff and managment. They need training to improve there communication skills
Neglect by staff in this home nearly cost my mother her leg and her life beware
