The lovely little Parish Church of St John the Baptist, Symondsbury dates from 14thC. The church is built in the local golden sandstone and is cruciform in shape with a central tower. It's well known for the 'squints' in the north and south transepts - spyholes which enabled the congregation to see the priest at the altar.nThe church currently displays a moving tribute to a Ukrainian soldier who died at the front on 26th June 2024.
