Just had my second baby on the mat ward. Rushed in for as an emergency - he had his head stuck. Everyone was amazing - really cared about my wife and baby. Had 4 departments in one place in 15 minutes - in the theatre in 30 & little boy was here in 35. Everyone ok & we are home the following morning. They are simply the best. Thank you everyone - yet again.

From very first appointment and scan until leaving hospital with my son i have no complaints whatsoever. Been induced on 10th and all midwifes from day and night shift were very lovely and caring. On 11th I've been moved to delivery ward where I've been looked after by two angel midwifes Isabel and Chloe and later night midwife who name i unfortunately don't remember because i was exhausted and passing out between each contraction. On 12th before noon i had to be rushed to operating theatre as my son was coming out with his face. I had bit problem because epidural was not working and doctors had trouble to get me numb. But in the end second spinal worked and my son was delivered by emergency c-section. I'm not sure how many people were there as i could see only to my left and right but i would like to say to all a BIG THANK YOU. Incision was done perfectly and I have only small scar what is healing fine without any issues. My son was delivered and treated with care and love. Labour was not the easiest one but you all make it a lot bearable and thanks to you all me and my son are here happy, healthy and alive ❤️. If I ever decide to have second child i don't want to go anywhere else to deliver him/her but to St James Hospital. Because I know we will be well looked after and in great, experienced and caring hands.

I’ve just given birth here. The midwives are fantastic. Unfortunately I am now having to endure the incessant moanings of an ‘entitled’ patient who is complaining that her midwife tried to help guide her with her breathing, that she didn’t ‘carry her’ off the bed when walking was suggested and that her baby was taken to the resuscitare following delivery ( obviously due to distress) instead of being placed on to her chest. How disappointing that some people do not realise just how lucky we are to have such incredible health care professionals free on the NHS. I have had two deliveries here that have both been exceptional and could not speak more highly of my care.

Minor gardening injury to the eye on Sunday, and attended Sunday evening. Checked in at A&E and they directed me to Minor Injuries. It wasn't busy so wasn't expecting a long wait. The doctor who saw me was really friendly and thorough, gave me an ointment to take away and explained the issue - she even let my hubby see the damage to my eye through the equipment. In and out in less than 45 mins. Thank you to medical staff.

I was rushed to st James needing emergency surgery in Nov. I treated with respect .care empathy.i was in hospital for 12 days .and u realised how hard all the staff work .from the porters to top surgeons. When I came home I needed district nurse's to come each day to do my packing. Again I was treated with respect and care .I have the greatest respect for the nhs I am 59 yrs old and have never before been in hospital other than to have my 3 daughters ... fantastic .nhs I love Britain too
