We use their coffee shop, every so often. Brilliant food. And Brilliant coffee. Finding a seat, is sometimes difficult, as people seem to use it as a meeting place, and stay for hours, and only buy one drink.nParking is a bit of an issue as well. Not s very big carpark, and the spaces are very tight.
LOVE this community setting. Beautiful old church which is lovingly transformed by volunteers into a theatre style church once a month. Once a month, people attend and join in with a vibrant worship session for a 'Worship cafe'. There is free cake and hot drinks. Lovely welcoming atmosphere.
I go to this church ONLY on Wednesday afternoons to take my granddaughter to the Tadpoles Toddlers group. The ladies who run it are absolutely lovely, we've been going since January 2023 and my granddaughter really loves going. The group is held from 1pm - 2.30pm in a big room at the back of the church that is safe & secure, have facilities and is wheelchair friendly. The great variety of toys are always clean & well cared for, they do drinks & snacks for children & parents, the ladies are always ready with advice & wisdom or just a friendly chat. It's such a good atmosphere and each session ends with stories & songs. They're quite like the 'traditional' toddler groups I took my children to, except that these ladies play & interact with the children, leading them in games etc. When the weather is really good, they use an outdoor area for play, which the children love. When the children 'graduate' to big school, they have a lovely mini ceremony and each child leaving the group is given a soft toy frog, having 'graduated' from Tadpoles. They also have a Facebook page to keep parents/carers up to date with activities and events. I would recommend this group to anyone with preschool children.
Went to the 'Make and Brew' cafe. Excellent coffee and a very friendly welcome. Staff here are really nice and after you've ordered your drinks they bring them out to your table. Nice range of cakes and biscuits, with lich available. It was especially nice that dogs are welcome, and easy because it's just a concrete floor
My wife and I had our wedding ceremony here and this church was a fantastic place for the event. This church is not only a great place for weddings but they also host many events for the local community. There are baby & toddler groups once a week that lets new parents in the community get together and the church hosts dance and fitness classes for all ages.
