Beautiful bakery in st ives, close to the harbour. Very tasty Cornish pasty and flakey steak too. Would have loved to have tried some of the lovely sweet treats too, with more time. The best price that we had found for a pasty without scrimping on quality! YUM
Absolutely the best pasty in the world! Word of warning DO NOT BUY YOUR PASTY FROM ANYWHERE ELSE!! This is the best quality you will find. Also buy a Cruffin it’s possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever tried
Came here because of the good reviews and great photos, and only bought a cruffin. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment, and I think it will be for anyone who knows something about pastries and baking. A cruffin should be made of croissant dough, while this one that you can see on the photo tasted like something between puff pastry and sponge cake. The custard was good, but the star of the show, which should be the pastry, did not meet my expectations. Overall the taste was nice but definitely should not be called a cruffin.
I had the best sausage roll here. The pastry was flakey and light. Sausage was hot and tasty. I still miss it. And it wasn’t expensive. It’s a lovely choice for takeaway lunch in a busy holiday location. Great food at a good price. The guys who worked there were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it.
Absolutely perfect, very small inside but very tasty stuff The Cruffin was amazing
A clean and cozy store, with the must-try Portuguese Egg Tart and really kind people. ——— Pro: 1. Selling one of the best Portuguese Egg Tarts I’ve ever tried. Crispy even after an hour in the bag 2. Clean, tidy, simplistic 3. They do open a bit longer if there’s customers coming in ——— Cons: 1. No seating
WOW!! what a find...only went in for a cruffin delicious invention decided to get a pasty each...so glad we did..outstanding oggie!! flaky pastry, good ratio of steak to veg and a juicy little beast an all! All others fail in comparison...we talked about that pasty long after it was devoured!! high praise is due
No meat in flank steak pasty!! Ordered 2 for £8.10 and there were two minuscule pieces of what looked like meat. I was extremely disappointed as I can here especially to try these ‘traditional’ pasties.
This bakery produced food that was delicious and tasty!!! We ordered a range of pastries for all the family and every single person including the kids were all left wanting seconds!!!! Would definitely order pastries from here again when we next visit!
Beautifully presented and very tasty, especially Cruffins with jam and custard inside Cinnamon rolls also nice. Can definitely recommend this place!
