I do not know how many others have suffered from the inconvenience of attending hematology as an outpatient? In my case, on each of 7-8 appointments I have had the blood sample taken 40-45 minutes after the appointment. On the last occasion having waited 45 minutes, I asked for a quick service. A nurse took my sample. Later, I received an impertinent letter from a senior member of the dept complaining that I did not wait to be seen by a doctor. In the past, the doctor has only ever said:'Good afternoon, please roll up your sleeve' & 'thank you'. Given my journey time is 45 minutes each way, I did not consider this extra delay necessary for my health welfare. Please bring on AI PDQ.
An absolutely fantastic hospital, all the staff are very friendly and the best in there field and it’s very clean and has lots of toilets down all corridorsnI’ve been coming here every day for a month for treatment on the Lansborough Wing and couldn’t wish for better treatment an absolute credit to the NHS
