Well what can I say. This Hilton was absolutely first class and being the hotel used by the England football teams made it super special for my football loving children and my nephews and the mums!. The boys were so excited just driving into the FA HQ and they were blown away by the hotel, the rooms, the bar, the amazing breakfast and the spa. It made my son’s birthday weekend extra special. We all felt like VIPs.
One of the best Hilton Hotels I have stayed at. We went for a night away for our daughters 12th birthday, On arrival we was welcomed by hotel manager called Andy Chan. Andy was very attentive and went that little bit extra by bringing a lovely cake and a message to our room for our daughter. We found our room very clean and tidy and spacious for a family of 4. Thank you for the stay and we would definitely come again.
Reception staff were amazing, going above and beyond to accommodate my sister's family after we arrived having mistakenly booked only one room instead of two - and the hotel was officially full... and the 2 men at the pool were equally helpful and friendly, finding us space to use the pool which again was officially fully booked. Thank you, customer service at its best
Lovely setting in grounds of the FA training grounds. Was here for a conference of 150 or so people. Varied choices of food served at each meal, friendly staff, generally clean throughout . Good breakfast buffet. Free WiFi a little difficult to join as you need access to your email to get it when you may not have access without it maybe text verifying would work better?. Fairly Good gym for a hotel. Worth walking round the grounds to see more and the FA facilities
Love this hotel one of my favourites.... Service is always good and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Stayed in the Kevin Keegan suite this time my only fault it needs more furniture in the living room... And the coffee machine needs to be in the kitchen area!Rooms: 4/5
A truly unique experience! We opted to stay at the Hilton St George's Park after our first choice Hilton didn't have aircon. I booked with no knowledge of the hotel or why it was special, and I was blown away when we arrived. Why is this special? Well, to quote the website, it's the home of England's teams, and to prove the point, we were lucky enough to be staying here when the lionesses were also there preparing for the group stages of the world cup qualifiers. Not only were we at the same hotel, but we got to rub shoulders with them on the stairs and corridors, although I have to admit we were a little too starstruck and embarrassed to say hello. We did get to watch them leave and board the coaches before playing Austria the following day, which was an experience my girls will never forget, again, even though they were too shy to ask for a picture. As for the hotel, well, being the home England's teams everything is top tier. The food was wonderful, the facilities including the gym and pool are first class, the executive lounge sits just above the main reception and the service was excellent. Another unique touch were the grounds which are full of pitches and it offers a truly unique experience to walk around and see it all, especially if you happen to catch some of the footballers training on them. The grounds around the hotel are extensive and the hotel is set a good mile down a long road so it's very quiet. The staff are equally first class. I had mentioned the reason we were changing hotel and we arrived in our room to a welcome gift and kind note. This was then followed up by a message to ensure we were happy and offer more help if needed. Everyone we interacted with was amazing and made us feel truly welcomed. All things considered, this is a Hilton hotel not to be missed. If you need to be in the area, this is the only place to stay. Edit: I recently stayed a second, and third time at the hotel and my review remains 5 stars. I have added photos of the junior suite and one bedroom suite I stayed in.
Good location and lovely grounds. If you are into football then it is a great place to stay. Sadly, the small stuff spoils the overall impression. From no coffee available from any cafe or bar unstaffed coffee bar and broken machines to no water in the rooms and inaccurate information at check-in, the hotel is ok'ish. I am sure understaffing plays a large part in this as other small things were clearly down to lack of training and supervising management. Staff were friendly and breakfast tasty aside from the orange squash style juice
Absolute rude snobbery Went to a dinner dance here and was instantly shunned. We were looked up and down by security and told this was a “private party”, which ofcorse we knew. We arrived only for a staff member to greet us rudely and telling us we need to move and sit in a dingy corner away from all the other guests, practically segregating us from the rich attendees. It is not as though we were poorly dressed or causing a scene, it is that a women had complained we were sat too close to her and the hotel took her side. The way the staff spoke to my mother was utterly disgusting. After my mother asked the staff why we needed to move the staff responded with an eye roll as if exasperated by our existence. I do not recommend attending this place unless u want to be made to feel inferior and worthless. It truely was like nothing ive ever experience and a classic show of elitism. Disgusted with my treatment at this establishment
Checking in is time consuming, very very expensive drink prices, first choice of meal unavailable. Expensive steak, which wasn't very tasty. Architecture leaves a lot to be desired, cold, uninviting looks more like corporate head office than a hotel. Entrance not clearly identifiable, thinking am heading for the correct door. Long walks to rooms if you end ip at the far end of the hotel
Had a realy nice back massage & light lunch, just a shame that in the morning the pool was full of screaming kids, I thought that under 16yr old were not allowed in the spa. we counted 20 kids, we didn't expect this in a relaxed spa, we couldnt get in the pool. When I mentioned this to staff was told it's a hotel & kids allowed in with parents, yet in the afternoon the hotel was closed to the Spa as the England football team were there for training. Staff friendly & place was clean. But spoilt by children.
