One of the best hospitals I have visited in the UK the staff are kind and sincere. Everyone in the hospital is helpful, if you look lost they say madam are you okay can I help you. My family member was treated like a king, I can’t thank the Coronary Critical Heart ward enough. He is still with you now but when we leave him after visiting hours we know he is in the best care.
I am compelled to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care provided by St George's Hospital, a place that holds a special significance in my life. My mother, a dialysis patient, has consistently received compassionate and dedicated care during her visits, and most recently, during a procedure to change her dialysis line. The medical team at St George's has not only demonstrated unparalleled professionalism but also a genuine commitment to the well-being of their patients. Their attention to detail and the personalised care they provide have been truly remarkable. Beyond the outstanding medical care, St George's Hospital holds sentimental value for me as it's not just a place of healing for my mother but also the very place where I came into this world 36 years ago. The continuity of excellent care across the years is a testament to the hospital's unwavering commitment to the community it serves. The expertise, kindness, and empathy exhibited by the staff have made a significant impact on our lives, instilling confidence and gratitude. St George's Hospital is not just a medical facility; it is a haven of support and healing for patients and their families. I extend my deepest thanks to the entire St George's team for their exceptional work. It is not just a hospital; it is a place where lives are touched, healed, and celebrated. With sincere appreciation
It’s ranked no 6 in top worst hospitals in London and now I understand why. I had a massive cyst over 20cm on my right ovary, discovered at un ultrasound. They booked me for a gynecologist appointment 3 months later. That’s right, with a massive benign tumor that kept on growing, they had decided that I could wait 3 months until I was able to receive a consultation. Due to their negligence, I have received emergency care and surgery in my home country. Unfortunately as I had to return back to work, I couldn’t stay back home long enough to have my stitches removed by the doctor that treated me. Had a laparoscopic surgery, so I went back to St. George hospital, thinking that the least they could is have them removed, after I had already called my GP in advance to book an appointment but was told that they were fully booked on that day. I went to urgent care and have been denied care, as it was not an emergency to them. They sent me one hour away to Queen’s Mary Hospital in Roe Hampton as it wasn’t deemed an emergency to them. I only had 5 stitches, it would’ve taken less than 5 minutes to have them removed. Terrible treatment and care, I have not seen anything like this before.
Major Trauma Ward, amazing team of incredible professionals caring for my 94 year old mother. A&E and paramedics all wonderful. Flawless. How lucky we are. Giving thanks.
I would post negative stars if I could. My friend was admitted to this hospital and is in the Atkinson Morley Wing. We are feeling much more distressed due to the specialist's appalling comment and inaccurate diagnosis. His main doctor disagrees and he's actually very much improving. This inaccurate diagnosis caused much unnecessary anxiety to him the patient and his family and friends. To add to it, the comment about my friend "dying young," with no actual follow up or idea of when that would happen is the most unprofessional and deeply insensitive treatment I have ever seen. It happened not once, but twice. I cannot put into words how frustrating this treatment is and how paramount these things matter in the role of taking care of patients. We are exasperated to say the very least. It is crucial for medical professionals to communicate with empathy, especially when dealing with patients facing serious health issues. I believe that constructive and compassionate communication is essential in the medical field, and this experience fell short of those expectations. I hope that doctor can reflect on this feedback and work towards improving their heartless approach to patient interactions. We have asked the specialist from refraining to treating him and hoping this will serve as a warning to anyone who has gotten similar treatment from this "specialist."
Had a lovely experience at this hospital. Most likely the best hospital I have ever visited. Staff members are really friendly and professional but also genuinely nice. I first visited the emergency department. I then got booked in for a scan at the radiology department for the following week. The receptionist was very friendly and Chris, the doctor was awesome! I wish this was my local hospital but honestly I don’t even mind traveling when the staff are so well trained and lovely.
I was pleasantly surprised with my outpatient appointment the other day. The wing was easy to find using the maps around the hospital, the reception staff were polite and helpful. The waiting was really short and I needed some blood work, for which I didn't have to wait at all. The nurse that took my blood sample was very nice and chatty. The doctor was professional and I received on the same day a text message with my next appointment.
Staff at the ETC deserve all the praise they can get. Fractured my ankle on a trip down from the north and it was like being in a private hospital. Attentive, knowledgeable staff giving the best treatment.
The Atkinson Morley cardiovascular Wing. My first visit today and likely the first of quite a few more. This one a very good experience and impression. Due to some negative media coverage about the NHS I expected to have a long wait for my appointment but not only was it on time , they also offered to 'slip me in' for a scan which would not have been required until a later date so one less procedure in the future and all within one hour, but whatever the service may be like, the Staff are always so very nice!...Well Done!
Cancelled a Stage 4 cancer patients much-awaited Oncologist appointment with less than 24 hrs notice....didn't even speak to them personally, just left a short voicemail the night before the appointment. No re-scheduled date, no explanation as to why, just "sorry, your appointment tomorrow has been cancelled. " No consideration for the mental anguish caused by such cold and inexplicable treatment of a very sick and vulnerable cancer patient. Now my loved one is in limbo, no idea if/when she will get next treatment/appointment, as getting hold of anyone in the cancer dept is nigh-on impossible. So cruel. Administration and communication at this hospital needs to be overhauled!
