My family has been a part of this school since the early 80’s and I’ve seen three Headteachers in that time. Mr Hayes the present head is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met he and his staff care about each individual child. I was told by a friend who worked in the school at lunchtime that the Head stays out on the playgrounds and knows every child by name. My grandson attends St Gabs and he’s autistic, they have had some very challenging times with him. Though he has never been a problem to other children he has been a problem to the teaching staff and was a regular with Mr Hayes. I am convinced from speaking to other parents / carers that any other school would have given up on him, having spoke with other parents with children of similar learning difficulties and how badly they feel let down. I can’t think highly enough of them and a very big thank you.

My son has just begun at this school. He looks forward to school daily. What more could I ask
