Fantastic coffee shop and the food is amazing. The biggest selling point is the gorgeous log fire. The coffee is very good quality and obviously a local favourite. Dog friendly. Only negative for me was that there were no herbal teas, even decaf tea and coffee have caffeine-free so difficult for those who can’t drink any caffeine. Piccalilli toastie was divine!
A magic coffee house with great espresso coffee in a cute old house with a little terrace out front. Probably one of the best coffees in South London. Only downside is that it’s on the side of a main road so it can be noisy outside.
Good coffee and orange juice but guys, you have to fix that front door! Or put a sign up explaining to 90% of your customers how to work the handle and push the door closed instead of just leaving it wide open or swinging it shut only for it to bounce back open. It was mildly amusing though, predicting which seated customers would jump up and firmly shut the door in frustration
St. David's is the best coffee shop in Forest Hill. Not only is the coffee excellent, the cakes and bread are delicious and the service is top quality - the welcome is always warm and friendly. I highly recommend the toasted banana bread, almond croissants, and the white sourdough loaves.Food: 5/5
About the coffee: it's rather good, probably the best in the area. They also offer good breakfast options. The place itself is a tad small but super cosy, particularly in winter time. What's the catch? Maybe its own success, it easily gets very crowded and then the quality of the service plummets. If you not only care about the coffee but the surrounding experience as well, it'd be better to avoid the super busy times
Lovely little cafe, had a really nice flat white here and a nice brunch for 6.50 of poached egg on really nice granary bread with avocado and crispy bacon. The bacon could have been a bit more flavourful but that's probably because I'm used to the unhealthy smoked kind. It all smelled amazing though. There was also good music and cool illustrations featured throughout the place. Recommend when you're in the area or as a quick pit stop on the way to the Horniman museum.
Consistently friendly service along with excellent coffee and delicious, fresh food. I tend to visit here whenever I come to Forest Hill and recommend it to people whenever I know they're in the area.
My go to local coffee shop. Friendly staff and good coffee. The food is damn good too.
A nice cafe, slightly hidden gem in Forest Hill, coffee was good. Definitely worth a visit.Food: 5/5
Nice coffee shop with lovely staff, but the owners come across as exceptionally arrogant and obnoxious see Instagram. They make you feel like they’re doing you a favour by opening up and serving you coffee for £3.75 lol. Really puts you off supporting this business.
