Beautiful church on the outside. Heartbreaking to see the grounds outside neglected and overgrown. Some of the older graves where covered in brambles and could hardly be seen

St. Chad's church is a beautiful grade II listed Victorian built, Norman and Gothic style building with pretty, if a bit untidy grounds stood next to the river Alt.

Went to visit a family members grave. So sad to see the church and grave yard in such a poor state

Historical church made from sandstone from the 1600s I think when built on an old saxon site from before. kirkby kirk means church
