Great place! There a few events and holiday clubs that use this space. So I go there often. It’s a good size, clean, normal amenities such a kitchen, bathrooms and a large space where events take place. It’s not modern place but very serviceable. The parking is a tad restrictive but tbh I drop and pick my child alongside another 20 parents and always managed to park in there or close by so not a deal breaker!
What a great place what a lovely church and what a fantastic history, unfortunately I haven't taken any pics, we were on our way to swallow falls and had only stopped for a comfort break and I'm glad I did.
Really enjoyed our day at flower show a well run event, the Townwomen's Guild had a display table there
Rented the main hall for a children’s party. The person who handled our booking was extremely rude on the day . We had asked him when the payment was due as we saw the venue after paying the deposit and he never responded so we assumed we would be invoiced before or after. We got there and he was very hostile and asking why we hadn’t paid because we asked and hadnt been told when payment was due. In any event, had there been an issue we would expect him to contact us as he had our details. We paid and he continued to be extremely unhelpful for example, when asked how we turn on the heating his answer was simply ‘you don’t’ then required you to ask the right question to tell you how to do it in This case the answer was the heating was electronic and that was the extent of the information provided even though we had said the venue was too cold and clearly needed help as we were expecting young babies. In the end We felt we couldn’t ask him further questions and made do as we couldn’t take the standoffish behaviour exhibited and one word answers that gave no answer at all. He was also equally rude to our staff for no known reason who complained to us about his behaviour prior to us getting there for the second time and rather than enquire with us or let us know if there was any issue, completely denied he had conversations with us as noted we had viewed the venue with him and asked questions beforehand. It’s a shame as we had been recommended the venue for the event and for worship but wouldn’t go again as I’ve not encountered such behaviour from members of a church before. In addition, we had arrived at 11:50 10 minutes before start and no one was there after 20 minutes and we eventually left as we had pick ups to do. Thankfully we managed to get on with the party after an upsetting start but it was a horrible start to our son’s day.
Clean, good size hall with kitchen facilities and friendly helpful caretaker.
Quite warm, heating good, new seating very comfortable however, dance floor not too good really could do with a good polish, sticky in large parts for sequence dancing .
Was attending a post funeral meal. The place has great facilities for any event of a reasonable size. Very clean plus well maintained.
A really lovely experience taking part in their Holy Week workshops. Children from Bolshaw really loved it. Thank you to all concerned.
A beautiful, clean and well designed Church and hall. Well equipped to host any event. Thoroughly recommended.
