I’m very pleased that we chose St Catherine’s to care for my mother. She had had multiple strokes, leaving her profoundly physically disabled and with poor cognition. This means she needs a lot of nursing care - and I couldn’t be happier about the quality. Leah the lead nurse keeps us fully informed and involved in decisions where needed.  The friendly and effective manager Claire has been in place for several years. This brings stability and was one of the reasons for our choice here. I am sure that the fact that my mother sees the same people every day for her care helps mitigate as far as possible the disorientation from her dementia condition.  St Catherine's is an older building and this is obviously a constraint. Some other care homes have posh cinema rooms, cafes and whatever - but my mum wouldn't be able to use those facilities anyway. ln my view the quality of personal human interaction is what really matters.  I have found that the staff are universally helpful; in particular my father is a frequent visitor and they all know who is he and make him welcome. Special call out to Kimmy, and Charlie whose smile lifted my heart when I visited today.  I live a fair distance away so finding such good care is such a relief. I know my mum is safe, and as comfortable as possible given her very difficult health circumstances. Thank you everyone.
