A lovely park with a playground and a huge field. It does have a set of goalposts for playing football. it is also great for walking the family dog. It is ideal for families except that the terrain is a bit rough for anyone with a disability. It is securely gated and fenced to keep families and their dogs safe. A dog bin plus bags are available. There is plenty of space for parking several cars. The only down side is that the passing road is extremely busy n a bit hazardous for the cars pulling out into the traffic on leaving but it is definitely worth a visit.
A good old fashioned play park with a high slide, see saw and swings Inc toddler swings.nMassive football field which also allows dogs, there are dog bins too.nThere is a small path to the left as you enter which leads to a stream then a path to the Volunteer Public house, turn right before the pub to circle back to the park.
Nice walk for the dogs. Not very big, but you can continue into the wooded area. Again, it was not massive, but the dogs enjoyed it.
A good place to meet and greet dogs. Don't try talking to cats as they are ignorant autistic bu**ers , whereas dogs are bipolar and will greet you like a long lost friend.
A disappointing visit. On Sunday I thought I would take my 2 year old grandson to the park. His baby sister was ill and Mum and Dad had taken her to the hospital. Unfortunately you can't visit the park on foot if you live in St Anns Chappel or Gunnislake... its too far and lanes with no paths are not safe. So I had to drive. So no healthy exercise and no saving the planet by not using the car! When we got there to say I was disappointed is putting it mildly. There is a slide - too high for a small child... a climbing frame - not suitable for a small child... a see-saw - not very easy with only one child... and 4 swings... and that is all! There is a new homes development nearby so I am surprised no one has thought to maybe take some interest in the park.
