Located in Droitwich Spa at the heart of rural Worcestershire, the St Andrews Town is a privately owned, 32 bedroom hotel and restaurant - The Dining Room.

It's location, nestled within a few minutes' walk of the town centre is quite unique and has the best of both worlds, town and country.

Sat in the hotel gardens you could be forgiven for thinking you are miles away from anywhere yet your drive from the M5 will take you less than ten minutes.

The hotel boasts full conference and function facilities including an NEW ORANGERY (opening Summer 2014), separate bar and restaurant - which has an enviable reputation with a focus on high quality Modern British cuisine.

St Andrew’s House was built in the 1820’s as the home of the Town Clerk of Droitwich Spa. Many of the trees, which originally surrounded the house, still, to this day, grow in the grounds of this superb hotel.

Droitwich Spa and surrounding areas has many visitor attractions for all ages including theme parks, wildlife parks, stately homes & castles, local markets and much more, there really is something for all ages. One of Europe's largest shopping centres, The Bullring (Birmingham), is only half an hours' drive and regular trains run from Droitwich Spa direct to Birmingham city centre.

We really liked this hotel. The staff were all very friendly in particular the chef. And he cooked so really nice and varied meals.nTwo things we didn't like were;n1. There was a fixed price of £15 for breakfast which would have been OK if you ate a lot of what was on offer but if you just wanted something simple like cereals alone you still had to pay £15, so we had breakfast elsewhere.n2. There was renovation work going on and we had work passing our window on scaffolding and quite a lot of noise at some times during the day.nThe room rate was very competitive.
We stayed here nearly 2 years ago now & see the price is less than we were chargedn£147 for 2 nights ! !. I didn’t put a review on at the time but will add our experience. We booked a disabled room which was fine although we had to ask for a heater as the room was very cold. The shower was useless . No grab handles, nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc. no chair or stool if one was needed so again unusable if you’re disabled. We were phoned on our journey there but when we arrived our room wasn’t ready & then to add more to make us angry we were offered tea while we waited & then charged for it. If the room had been ready we could have made one without charge. No need obviously to say we don’t recommend & certainly would never stay there again.
Only had a one night stay. Room was nice ,clean, bed was comfortable bathroom was nice, but there was no blind or covering on the window, so we had to put a towel across the bottom of the window ! A blind or drapes would have made a big difference! Also remote on TV didn't wk but receptionist gave us another, and the plug socket for the kettle in the cupboard didn't work, did report this. It would be helpful these things were checked before,to save complaints, but breakfast was very nice ,hot and good service. On the whole not bad , and would stay again
We came during the summer and our window cannot be opened completely to let the wind in due to some fire code apparently to stop people from falling through. The room was hot like an oven. We asked for a fan at the front desk. The hotel staff said she would give us a fan within 15 minutes. The fan never came and we didnt get any follow-up from them.nnThe hotel seemed short staffed and overwhelmed. Other than that, we had a good stay. The room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was nice.
Lovely hotel in middle of a quiet residential area. Free parking.nnBreakfast and dinner available along with bar and outdoor seating area.nnLocation is excellent with 15 minutes drive to Worcester Royal Hospital.nnTown center is 10 minute walk away.nnFor those with electric cars, there is 2 fast charger points, just across the road, in Castle pub parking. There is also a BP pulse fast charger 2 in number , 5 minutes drive away.
