Story

St Andrews Botanic Garden is a 4 star Scottish Tourist Board Garden. With 18 dazzling acres, 2000m2 of heated display houses and 8000 different plant taxa, the Garden delights in all seasons. The Vanishing Acts trail, childrens activities and exotic plants like bananas, kiwis and tomato trees make the garden fun for all the family.

Entry is £5/4.50 for adults, FREE for under 18, students and Friends of the Garden.

We live in Wimbledon, very close to Richmond Park, in South London and as a family we love going for walks. So naturally, when my daughter Siena and I visited her brother Kiro in St Andrews, we decided to spend some time at the Botanic Garden.nnIt was a beautiful July day, sunny but not too hot and we enjoyed walking around, taking in the variety of plants. The garden feels very tranquil, the kind of place where you can simply wander slowly and appreciate nature.nnThere is an entry ticket, as well as a café and a small shop, which makes the visit even more pleasant. If you are a lover of plants, flowers, and nature in general, the St Andrews Botanic Garden is worth visiting.

Lovely place to have a walk and admire the paths and plants. Visit is late September so think possibly earlier in the year would be better as things are dying off. Excellent area for children. Nice wee coffee patio. Definitely will be back. Excellent value for money.

Visited in autumn, really beautiful and well worth it. Investing in the gardens and nice to see such enthusiasm from the staff. Shop is cute, can also buy a coffee and cake or a plant!
