Story

St Andrews Botanic Garden is a 4 star Scottish Tourist Board Garden. With 18 dazzling acres, 2000m2 of heated display houses and 8000 different plant taxa, the Garden delights in all seasons. The Vanishing Acts trail, childrens activities and exotic plants like bananas, kiwis and tomato trees make the garden fun for all the family.

Entry is £5/4.50 for adults, FREE for under 18, students and Friends of the Garden.

Garden is quite small but not busy at all (as not that close from the city center). Main attraction would be the glasshouse with exotic plants. They held also temporary expos, the coming ones in 2018 about butterflies. Very warmth and welcoming staff. Worth the visit for a £5 entrance fee.

Wonderful botanical garden, even in winter. Glass houses were fantastic as were the rock and scree gardens. Well worth a visit. One of the best in Scotland.
