A wonderful walk of about 2 miles with a not-too-challenging uphill trek to the lighthouse and the Head itself; but the rewards are huge. In season, many nesting seabirds, waders and other shore birds, one area where a rare butterfly lives, and just fabulous sea and cliff views. A really worthwhile walk. Restrooms: Available next to National Trust for Scotland 's visitor Centre.
Breathtaking landscapes, north of the tiny fishing village of St Abbs, where the movie <Averagers: Endgame> was filmed, in the Scottish Border. A National Nature Reserve with a series of dramatic coastal cliffs overlooking the North Sea, an absolutely scenic route for a day out. The trail is easy and could be completed within 2 hours, anyway take it slow and immerse yourself in the astonishing Scottish nature.
Absolutely beautiful place , loads of wildlife and sea birds definitely recommend if you love fabulous views it’s easy to get to and very accessible for all ages
Supposed to be a dive weekend, but got cancelled due to it being too blowing, so decided on a bit of walking and photography. The National Trust Scotlamd carpark is ideally located, and you can use your National Trust card displayed in car to access free parking. Walk up the lane and through the farmland past the small Loch to access the Cliffs. Was a vit early for some birds, but saw gulls and shags. The view is amazing and there were deer around early morning. St. Abbs is great too.

There is a brilliant coastal walk at St Abb's Head. The walk takes about two hours but you can take as long as you like. You gain a good height and the paths are good but the weather had been very dry. You will need a good level of fitness as it is quite up and down I would also recommend sturdy shoes. The day I visited it was damp and overcast but that added to the enjoyment as it was very atmospheric. The walk takes you past St Abb's Head lighthouse which is in an amazing location. Once again dogs are welcome on a lead. This is a National Nature Reserve and is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. There is a small charge for the car park and also a small visitor centre which was free to enter you can learn more about the Reserve and the work they do.
Beautiful place. I would definitely come back. Kids should be kept close to parents.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Easy circular walk from St. Abbs car park. Views are magnificent.
