Loved it, unlike London garden centres, they have some wildlife animals including Guinea pigs, spiders, tortoises, fish, flowers, etc. They also have a cafe if you should get hungry and a play area for children...a little small but lovely and cosy. They also sell scents and little touches for the home proud and cakes plus other goodies to take away. The coffee and walnut cake was fantastic.
Really impressed with the selection and quality of items here, and everything is nicely laid out with good signage. Great range and display of water features, ponds and pond plants, and also impressed with their pet and fish section. Lovely garden centre and so pleased that it’s so close to home.
A good find this. A nice medium-sized Garden Centre. It is currently undergoing some renovations so parts are closed off, this was the first time I’ve been here so can’t comment on what’s missing! A nice aquarium section for fish lovers, my 4-year old found it interesting so if you have kids it’s worth coming for that. A selection of BBQ’s etc on display if you’re thinking of buying one definitely worth a look.
You can always tell it’s Christmas when you take a trip to the Garden Centre! One of my favourite traditions, lots of lovely items in the shop to be bought for yourself or as gifts - then a stop at the restaurant for Christmas Lunch, one of the absolute best in the area, lovely layout, very friendly staff and the food is so good! Highly recommend and will be back again next year :-
Build your own breakfast, great choice with black pudding, bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, hash browns and toast on menu. Lovely cakes and scores available. Shop well stocked with spring bulbs and some Christmas lines as well. Lovely staff. I love coming here.
The fish are the big hit here - especially with small children. Nice cafe and plants aren't too expensive. Water feature display area shown in the photo.
Stopped off in the cafe for some lunch. Requested a jacket with just cheese but they were out. Lovely waitress asked the kitchen if they could assist as I was struggling to find something I could eat due to recent medical condition. They very kindly did us a jacket potato specially after stating that there would be a slight delay whilst they cooked it. Can't fault the service really appreciate the help.
My husband and I called in for lunch. It has changed to table service since we were last there a year or so ago. Our order for coffee's, sandwiches and cakes was taken fairly promptly. However, it was a 20 minute wait for the coffee and cakes to arrive and another 30 minutes before the sanwiches turned up. It was busy due to being the end of the half term week but this was a ridiculous amount of time to wait. Having said that the cake was delicious and the sandwiches were tasty.
In the past the cafe was a lovely place for a quick coffee and cake and meeting up with friends and then onto the shopping, well that has all changed with a dreadfully slow waitress service, one member of staff to show us to a table another 15 minutes later to take our order a third to bring our order and then if lucky 20 minutes to get yet another member of staff to take payment , in the end I went and stood by the main till, that was four members of staff and one hour for a simple order, ironically there was a notice saying delays because of staff shortages, it was much more efficient when you could choose your cake order your drink, pay , find your own table all in 10 minutes, why oh why have you adopted this old fashioned and badly managed way of customer service. Do you unless only comment on 5 star ratings ?
Good garden centre with lots of choice in all departments, well stocked with Aquatics outdoor and indoor with a great stock of pet requirements. Nice café and good food. Great summer and winter stock at a price which is affordable, when the season dictates.
