Went just before Christmas for a Santa visit. First place to give a wrapped gift that was also age appropriate. Great value for money. Beautiful displays in store. Friendly helpful staff.
What a lovely place to spend a few hours. Christmas stock was in and the choice was excellent. Fabulous place to buy an unusual gift or card. Lots of stock that's presented beautifully. You MUST visit the cafe. The food is lovely and very reasonably priced. The staff are brilliant. Well done Squires.
This is about Squire's cafe rather than the garden centre. In a word, appalling. As instructed by the sign at the entrance I waited to be shown to a table. While waiting, multiple staff members caught my eye and looked away, ignoring me. Finally, after about four minutes, a grumpy woman asked if she coul help me. I said I just wanted a cappuccino. She snapped, 'It's table service,' then started dealing with the people behind me. So I chose a table and sat. And waited. And waited for over ten minutes as multiple staff members walked by ignoring me. I spoke to the manager and told her how long I'd waited, but I got no apology. All she wanted to know was which table I was at, as if that made a difference. I walked out. And I won't be back. If you decide to visit this place make sure you're on annual leave and have plenty of time.
I'm not really a judge of garden centres. But it's never really changed much since I first went in the mid 90's when my mother worked there. It's still going strong so for those that need a garden centre then this place should be adequate.
A very large collection of shurbs, vegetable plants, border plants, trees. Worth visiting the centre, tucked away in country side. Loved the large number of water falls. They are beautiful and rare. Staffs helpful and polite. Will go for extra for you. I give this garden centre a big thumbs up.
Visited the cafe today - usually a good experience - but unfortunately today we were treated in an extremely offhand manner almost rude really - all I can think is that they must have been having a very bad day! Food and drinks were nice!
I personally found alot of the products here very overpriced and just average quality. garden staff are lovely, super helpful and friendly.... but the café staff are not...we felt rushed and prices are ridiculous.
Although not busy still had to wait 5plus minutes to be given a table. Then breakfast arrived before coffees and they didn't arrive until breakfast finished. I like to drink with food. Not a great experience for somewhere relatively quiet.
Love this garden centre, staff are always so friendly, and our dog loves getting her little treat at the checkout. Only recommendation would be the cafe- wait times have become a bit ridiculous, think they need to get some more staff in the cafe for this
I love this place: always fresh and good flowers beautiful Christmas stuff! Decorations and plant pot. Reasonable price :£ don’t forget Christmas plant hang basket.
