Located in Braehead shopping centre. I have always enjoyed SpudULike baked potatoes. Recently the menu has had a ‘make over’ due to the involvement of chef James Martin. There is a greater emphasis on presentation now and some changes to the menu itself. Two of my favourite fillings have been removed from the menu Egg mayonnaise and Prawn Marie Rose and the coleslaw is now called rainbow slaw. It’s my opinion that the baked potatoes are smaller than they used to be, however they are just as tasty and I enjoyed a combination of butter, grated cheese and ‘rainbow slaw’. What I had was very good but I would like bigger potatoes and I’d like to see the egg mayonnaise back on the menu. Returned with a friend: 2 baked potatoes each butter with 2 fillings plus two soft drinks: £17.50. A bit on the expensive side I think.
We decided to try spud u like Today. Got 2 x baked potatoes With cheese & coleslaw. The cheese had no flavour. The coleslaw didn't have any flavour. Not a good portion size. Not good value for the price £17 And would not recommend or return. Better food in Braehead for same price. The portion in the picture I left looks decent. It isn't in the potato. Just sits on top. Place wasn't busy I no why
We had 2 baked beans with cheese. £1.75 extra each to add cheese. Side of coleslaw and kids baked potato with beans. Total to over £18. Topping were ridiculous. Picture below when we opened the potato. Had to add another side of beans £1.85. Very expensive for 2 adults and kid. Portions used to be better before. Used to have big potato's and overloaded portion. Also they don't do Tuna.
The baked potato was nice, but i got soup too, and it was a tiny bit of soup in bottom of cardboard pot. And girl said she couldn't, take garlic bread off, because it came with it, so i had to leave it on table, because i hate garlic bread.
A lovely refreshment stop during a shopping trip. A pleasant enjoyable coffee and an outstanding Lemon muffin. Soft, moist, flavourful, and undeniably moreish.
First time here and loves it. Yvonne was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious. Will be back again.
Had a horrible experience today! Went in to eat with my baby. There were 2 young girls working at tje counter none of them helped or assisted with high chair. After i ordered i sat on table waiting still no high chair and my tray was lying there in the counter for 10 min! it was very quiet aswel Then later the girl at the counter waved at me to come and collect my tray, also a customer had some decency to come and get me a high chair. Will never go there again. Would give 0 stars! Ordered a baked potatoe with beans and cheese not a good portion size very small was for £10.20
Went to one in Braehead, overpriced, not much flavour and portion sizes are terrible. Filling sits on top, giving the impression of a fully filled baked tattie but it's not! We had a chilli one and a cheese one but no flavour in each! Won't be back!
Well here's a surprise! Not been in here before and loved the friendly staff, food, value for money, decor and the overall experience. They don't hold back on the filling on baked potatoes nor the chicken salad... totally satisfied my appetite during a busy Christmas shopping spree. Give it a try people, I think you'll enjoy.
Awful, potato was rock solid and had a pathetic topping of butter chicken on top. My and a friend had this but his took forever to come and a few hours after he had been sick and couldn't stop. He now has food poisoning and is ill in bed. Absolute no from me.
