Beautiful park. Only one thing to bear in mind lots of geese, they are beautiful, but they pooping everywhere
My son recently became part of the Miniature Railway Crew. This park attracts people of all ages. Lovely walks, great play areas and an outdoor gym. Picnic tables, tennis courts and beautiful gardens. There is no cafe there but there is a petrol station which sells food, drinks and ices, are pricey though. I'd recommend bringing a picnic if you intend to spend a few hours in the park. There is also a lovely public house across the road and also a golf course next door to the park. The Miniature Railway opens from 1pm on a Sunday until 4pm during the summer. It may not open if the weather is bad. Look on line for information...a lovely park to be explored for everybody. Mobility access also....
It is a beautiful well maintained park. Scenic and have a lot of space to walk around
A nice park to walk around and plenary to do with the children, little steam train rides only operate on a weekend the park area, fields to run around and the tennis courts too! Lost of areas to have a picnic or even sit and take a minute! Which you may need if you use the adult gym equipment!They past 12 months has seen the park used more than even and unfortunately lots of litter around with overflowing bins which is sad to see! The park in general is always kept and the grass is never overgrown!

Free parking available inside the park. Great kids play area and climbing frames, they have little bird's nest's for the kids to climb in. Take plenty of seed to feed the ducks and geese. Plenty of open space for a picnic and there is a large Tesco just down the road for drinks and snacks.
Great outdoor open space for all ages they have a outside gym too, it has a massive golf course which can be used as a cricket, football, other sports and picnic fields which the beautiful stone path leads to. They have reasonable parking space. The park also had a tennis and badminton courses and a beautiful botanical seating area near the courts, the park consists of a lake with many ducks and swans. My chidlren love coming here so do I as its my childhood favourite
Well kept and spacious park with excellent facilities. Miniature railway on Sunday's. Free parking. Footpaths suitable for prams/wheelchairs. Children's play area. Outdoor exercise equipment.
Good place to take the kids especially on sunny days to run and stretch their legs Picnic area: Very good for picnic
Lovely tranquil place. Ideal for a stroll or dog walking.
