My daughters boyfriend had his 21st here in the function room. Brilliant night, excellent room very spacious and fantastic staff. Definitely recommend this venue to others. Thank you Claire, Dean and chloe your hospitality

This is an imposing pub sat overlooking a crossroads. Super building with lovely large interior, including a games room with a pool table. A Joseph Holts pub so Paulicarus had a pint of bitter. An all time favourite. The two tiered front terrace and beer garden is south facing so we made the most of an autumnal sunny Sunday afternoon. Not sure if we had been before. Large car park at rear, register at bar.
Basic overnight stay, price was expensive for what we had. The man behind the bar who checked is in was very friendly and extremely helpful. Was late when we checked in and only had the Indian takeaway next door for something to eat. Was recommended by the staff who said they would give us cutlery and plates to have a take away which was very nice of them

Staff helpful. Really not happy with the room. Broken furniture, shower needed cleaning. One room light broken, one without a switch, one blind broken. TV working, but no BBC 1 or 2 Holt Pubs web site says there's food ... but there is NO food, which is a serious pain when you've travelled a long way expecting to be able to get a meal at the end of the journey Food & drinks: There is NO food served here

Stayed here for 2 nights on the weekend of Coldplay’s Manchester gigs. The room was clean and cozy, perfect for what we needed it for. £90 per person for 2 nights is very steep though
Exceptional staff. Lovely venue. I went for the karaoke night and the DJ really ruined the night. I, and my table, requested songs but the DJ simply played the regulars over us. Unacceptable - I waited 2 hours for my turn and ended up leaving before my song came on. I did ask him twice, and he pretty much shrugged his shoulders. When I requested my song I was number 17 - I took the liberty of counting the songs before mine as I was actually a bit nervous, but number 17 came and went. All in all: staff were very friendly and helpful, atmosphere great, but until the management do something about the horrendously biased DJ do not expect to sing a song if you're not a regular.
Be careful make sure you book car in or get a fine!! Rang them they will sort so hopefully all good. Good venue for functions. Good size room, staff Friendly. Would recommend.
