It is what it is!! Not intentionally a retro cafe, but one that just hasn’t made it out of the 1970s yet: wooden cabinets, rickety tables with fablon imitation wood plastic covers, applied with wrinkled ages. The cheap and cheerfulness is almost an attraction in itself. Not high dining, but nevertheless a good basic cafe, with good wholesome food and smiley service. And well supported by locals. It still feels as though it could do with an upgrade though.
Lovely food, chips are amazing my favourite is usually a chip roll but tried the breakfast for the first time the other day after YEARS of going ans its safe to say ill definitely be getting it again. All the staff are lovely, everyone knows everyone aswell. Its a really nice place to go to in the middle of town. Everything is homemade, its really nice like ey xxx

Staff/owner customer service could do with a touch of charm added. Food hot and tasty, cafetiere was expensive for the size of it, but nicely flavoured. This place is more akin to a mature ladies social club, where all the ladies of the Town gather in their usual seating area and favourite places to sit after doing their shopping etc, so great banter to listen to.
Tasty grub well priced. Quick service. Good mannered and cheerful. Nicely situated with a good reputation.
Burger = patty on dry roll, nothing else! Milkshake = milk with flavouring, no ice cream at all. Aweful. Pleasant service but food is lowest quality I’ve had for years.
