Bought pair of Karrimor shoes for work. Tried the brand as was recommended, wished l hadn't. Price was £40, but was sold for £20, so thought I had a bargain. The shoes looked good quality with steel toe caps, but that was about it. 1. About three weeks the laces started to fray and snap, due to the "guides" having sharp edges. It was as much as I could do to get replacements, the shop staff were quite unhelpful and unwilling to do so. 2. Much worse - After three months of average use, one of the soles cracked right across. Another three months, the other sole cracked right across making shoes no use for wet weather. The soles wore extremely badly, and quickly with chunks of the rubber breaking away. By this time, the first sole had developed a big hole making a £40 (Advertised) pair of shoes unusable after six months. (I have had cheap trainers in the past for about £10 from Asda and Tesco which have lasted 9-12 months with average use). Took shoes back to the shop for refund or exchange, but again the shop staff were unhelpful and disinterested, I unfortunately had lost the reciept. Will not use Sports Direct or especially the Karrimor brand again. These were obviously counterfeit items, Sports Direct should really know better than to sell such items. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.
