Went into my local sports direct on Saturday to buy new trainers. Helpful staff on the floor, checked and brought out the sizes I asked for, didn’t stay with me, but that was ok, looked like a new promotion was being put in. I decided on two pairs. Went to the cash desk to be served, there were three staff behind the counter, chatting to two customers, one of them being a member of staff on his day off, with a girlfriend, taking advantage of their staff discount. Eventually one of the staff asked another member of staff to serve me, which she did, however I was totally ignored, whilst they all continued their conversation with the day off member of staff, I was not asked how I wanted to pay, if I would like a bag, and not even said goodbye to, in fact I was INVISIBLE. I spent £75 and was invisible. Not a good experience
Ordered a pair of shoes online size 7 sent a 5.5. Went in store and they couldn’t help even though it was their mistake. Not happy at all
I took my 13 and 11 year old to get shoes for school. I have to say the staff were absolutely first class. Poppy had to assist us in the men's area. She covers the women's section on shoes. Once my son had his trainers and school shoes sorted she explained she would meet us upstairs and help my daughter to find her shoes and trainers. To say she went above and beyond was an under statement. She even called her sister as she went to the same secondary school as my daughter as we couldn't remember if shoes with branding on was allowed at the school, so she called her to check, Wow!!!!! She was buzzed on the radio to go on her break and she told them that she was serving us and would go later, even appologised to me for taking the radio call, Wow!!!! What a sweetheart. She even made sure my daughter tried on a six shoe and a 6.5 shoe, one on each foot to make sure she got the comfier shoe and to check they fit. Poppy cared so much, what a refreshing approach to customer service and care! Her assistant came and took over who was as equally as lovelyas Poppy, sadly I didnt get her name, but I know she knows who she is as I told her I would review them both and give them an excellent rating. Infact my 3 year old son lost his blanket and she walked around trying to help us find it which she did. Thankyou so much!! I hope Sports Direct know what first class staff they have here particularly these 2 ladies. Thankyou for making my daughters secondary school shoe shop a happy one. Highly recommend will most definitely go back.
Disgraceful. Purchased an item from this store and tried to return it on the same day only to be told that they only do exchanges or credit notes and no refunds. Disgusting, just a way to rob people. Will not ever be stepping foot in another sports direct and not to mention how rude and unhelpful the bald headed man was.
Customer service non existent. Ignored by staff too busy chatting about their weekend. When I asked for help it couldn’t have been more obvious they just wanted to get back to their conversation rather than help.
