Barely any wait to be seated, super friendly staff. The general restaurant was really clean and the food areas were exceptionally clean, which i was very impressed with. Lots of staff walking around clearing plates and ensuring the place was clean and tidy. A constant supply of food too. I tried most, if not all the food small portions and believe they were all to a good standard. Of course, some I enjoyed more than others due to personal likes and dislikes but generally I felt it was to a high standard. Lots to chose from and a gorgeous dessert area. For £16.50 each and £3 for unlimited refillable drinks i really think this is a brilliant restaurant. Not only the only buffet option for miles around, but decently priced for the overall experience. If your unsure- just go. For the price you will find something you will enjoy, and if you cant- ill be highly surprised!! The only thing I would comment on to improve would be the closeness of the tables and space around the restaurant as i felt quite close to other guests, although this did not ruin my experience i feel others may be put off. Also that some people chose not to use the tongs or equipment to pick up their food from the designated areas, which of course is not the restaurants fault, although prompt signs across the restaurant and perhaps a member of staff reminding customers to be sanitary would be helpful.
As it was Saturday at 6pm I would advise booking for 6+ people. We were seated very quickly as only 2 of us, those in bigger groups who hadn't booked had at 5 - 20 minute wait. Everything looked clean. Food choices were huge, there is something for everyone. All hot, and labelled, which is good as one of has allergies. It was very busy so turn over kept it all fresh. Found the staff very polite and helpful. As I have a disability the staff sat us closer to the food area which was very helpful. Food and a round of drinks for us was a total of £40, which with the choice and all you can eat was a good price.
The restaurant looks lovely. If you book you can have a table for 2 hours, if you walk in you can have a table for 1 and a half. There needs to be more hygiene, There is no hand sanitizers and everyone is touching the serving spoons, and the floor gets very messy. Food is ok £15.99 for an adult and £8.00 for a child. And they need to stop children running around the restaurant playing hide and seek. We went at 18.00 maybe if we went later this may not happen.
I love this place. I payed £20 for an all you can eat buffet. The variety of food they offer is pretty amazing. A hugeeee selection of Chinese food, but also other stuff like pasta, pizza and a desert stand. They probably more than that my but after 3 plates full my belly couldn't bare to even look at any more food let alone eat it. Highly recommended! Kid-friendliness: Defiantly kid friendly. Parking: No parking on site. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is available.
Spoons is an all-you-can-eat buffet. Amazing food and friendly staff. However, the only thing that annoyed me that 'Adults' could only operate the ice cream machine, while I'm sure a sensible 10 or 11 year old could. The crepes were also uncooked.Food: 3/5
If you are a vegan or have a food allergy, I would urge extreme caution here. There is very little vegan food and the labelling around allergens was inaccurate during my trip: I took some pilau rice which showed it had no milk, when I got chatting to a member of staff they said it included ghee butter, I said the allergy label should show it as containing milk, but the individual didn't agree. Another dish contained crustacean yet was labelled as vegetarian. ‍ They do not seem to take allergens particularly seriously which is a real worry! Having said all of that if you like lots of food, and variety and don't have allergies, then it's a great place to get a wide range of varied food! The misspelled labels also amused me. Dietary restrictions: Poor choice for vegans, unreliable allergen advice.
Food is as you would expect, service is adequate. But for a broad selection this place fits the bill.
Last Saturday was my first ever visit to Spoon's and all I can say is wow!!!! If I could rate anymore stars I would. I found this place on line while looking for a nice place to eat, we live out of the way so it was a little journey but it was so worth it! The staff were more than friendly, professional and welcoming. It was clean, the food was hot and there was always someone cleaning little spills or checking the temperature of the food. The choice of food was amazing, it was very overwhelming at the amount there was to try and my only regret is that my belly wasn't big enough to try more. The calamari is the best I have ever eaten! I do have to say the floor manager on the day was VERY professional, the table next to us tried to pull the old 'food is cold' routine and 'I want a refund' but he dealt with it perfectly, he checked if the food was hot and gave perfect answers when they challenged him further. They were slightly hostile while he was an ocean of calm. Top marks! We are so impressed with everything that we will be returning for a birthday meal this weekend coming. I look forward to booking a table and trying new foods. You can either book or walk in which is another nice little touch.
I've been in the UK for over 15 years and I just got to know about this restaurant last week when my family was invited for a birthday dinner. The place was packed to full capacity with people waiting to be seated. As would be expected in buffet restaurant, there were numerous choices of food ranging from chinese noodle to indian wraps, desserts, pancakes, ....a good selection to satisfy you. The tables were a bit tightly fitted so you had to plead with the next table to allow you pass through. The toilets were clean and the environment generally. Parking is best on Saturdays and Sundays. Sitting time for groups is limited to 2hrs ...which is understandable looking at the crowd waiting to get in. And yes, ensure you book before going.
Staff are always helpful, although waiters/waitresses are extremely quick to take your drinks away if you’re not at the table. Went with my daughter who’s only 4 so obviously we both have to go up at the same time and a couple of times our table was completely cleared whilst we were there and the male waiter was a bit reluctant to give us our glasses. Otherwise it’s kept really clean, topped up, lots of options, delicious food.
