It's okay and had a good laugh, but very low budget. I have been a few times now over the years and always hope they will have put more money into it, but each year it remains the same. Nothing to get a good photo with and very cheap masks/make up and decor. Needs more of a Halloween atmosphere, rather than Home Bargains Halloween aisle. Has the potential to be really amazing, just needs an input from someone creative!
Definitely NOT worth £29 a ticket, it was way to busy so they was just sending people in big groups at a time so you already knew what was coming nothing was scary or made you jump because you had already seen it coming from the 10 people in front of you. there was about 5 actors in each thing absolutely terrible. I have been for the last 2 years and I was really disappointed this year.
This year was my 3rd time going and I was still terrified!! This year there was a new attraction which was really good! Definitely messes your head up a bit. We went as a group of 4. Me and my cousin fell over each other whilst running we were that scared brilliant response from the actor we were running from, instantly out of character and bent down to us asking do we need first aid, any injuries and offered to take us out of the attraction through a side door if we wanted. Few scrapes here and there but it was hilarious and added to the experience! The one downside was the past two years I’ve been the slaughterhouse was the worst one, absolutely hated it but this year there was none of the pig masks, no chainsaw man cornering us thank god actually because I HATE that!! and I couldn’t believe it when we came to the end. I’d hyped it up to my friends who’d never been as well! There were only 3 actors who barely moved just stood saying we smell good. BUT it’s a brilliant night, so scary, loads of jumps and if some of your group go down like a sack of spuds it’s even funnier. Will definitely be back! I was also so glad they were letting a handful of groups in at the same time again this year, last year due to covid it was only your group and there was only two of us!! Traumatic that was! Parking area is HUGE too and there’s absolutely no need to get there for opening/early if you’ve never been before.
Visited last night and very disappointed compared to last year. Was very impressed last year and even thought better in many ways to the other local scarefest. However this year seemed a fraction of the amount of actors? last year many more in the attractions and also around the venue however but this year maybe one? .. can't fault the amazing actors though! also too many people let in at one time and just ends up being an endless queue throughout the houses and it defeat s the object. I would rather wait longer in the queue and go in in smaller groups. We normally have a great night just a little disappointed this year especially at the cost also. The actors that were there were great!!!!! .. just need more of them
I’ve been a few times to spooky world over the years, the first time I went I was 13! I had a fabulous time and remember the ticket was £12. This must’ve been about 2009/2010. Now I returned in 2018, and it was ok and I had a good laugh with friends. Don’t remember much changing though except the ticket price going up. Now I returned 29th Oct 2022 and the price of the ticket has rocketed to £33pp. Albeit they’ve added on a few more attractions. I think it’s a good laugh to go to with your friends but eat before you go because there are only 2 places to queue to get your food and drink and I can guarantee you’ll be lining up for 30/35 minutes just for raw undercooked chips at £3 a pop. Tray the size of a child’s portion. This is the only disappointing factor to the spooky world experience in my opinion as there should be more places to get food from especially with the volume of people that go. I’ll say don’t be put off by the size of the queues for the attractions, as they do tend to let a good chunk of people in at a time so the line moves relatively fast. Overall in my own opinion, I think this has been my last visit to spooky world as I’m sure by next year the tickets will be £40pp and I’m not prepared to pay that for what you get when you’re there. Oh one more thing…you have a ticket you carry around with you with all of the attractions on it, once you’ve been on an attraction, the worker rips the name on the ticket so you cannot go on it again. Unless you find reception and pay £5 per attraction to go on again!. Friendly staff though I have to say. Some of the actors/actresses are really good and have great character, but some of the actors costumes really do look very cheap like you’ve just walked down an aisle in home bargains.
Absolutely shocking night! Gangs of kids jumping fences to get to the front of the queues. Most of them with no tickets! Security stood by and did nothing despite it being pointed out to them. No actors walking around the park at all. Field of screams was simply a walk through with one scare. When we left, there were at least 7 vehicles driving at ridiculous speeds, racing each other around the car park. We couldn’t get to our car for fear of being hit! It was at this point I called the police who informed me they had had several calls already this evening and were sending patrols down. I am utterly appalled by the total lack of security and unwillingness to intervene by those who were there.
Personally, I think the "Spooky at night" is too intense for the age it is aimed at. I went the other night, and an actor came up to me and started whacking a bat above my head, breathing in my face. I shouted the safe word candy man, and he wouldn't go away. The rules state they will immediately back off, but he didn't. I had to shout it about 7 times before he left. Queues weren't bad, but not sure if I'd go again for a while.
I visited on the 29th October 2022. I had previously visited the year prior and really enjoyed it so booked it again for this year as soon as I could! I really enjoyed it last year but they had definitely improved all the scare mazes for this year. It felt like the mazes had been extended which was great, and the tunnel of terror at the end of the trailer ride was terrifying I loved it. Would definitely recommend wearing old shoes or wellies since it can get muddy especially in the field of screams but that is expected since it is on a farm. The bonfire was lovely to sit around once we had completed all of the scare mazes. Only downside I would say is I felt like more actors were needed in the field of screams since it felt like we were just walking through a maze with no scares, which was disappointing since when we visited last year that was the scariest of them all! Overall, I would 100% recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting since it is definitely worth the money and the actors are amazing! I can’t wait to visit again next year.
Had an amazing time at the nighttime scare event - actors really went all the way in trying to scare you! Not to mention the clear effort that went in to all of the attractions, definitely recommend!
Had a half decent day, partner has been before and believed it was better previous years! Staff very very rude. Upon arrival, showed pre booked tickets and gave no information what so ever on what to do with regards to times of events that was happening throughout the day. We arrived at corn cannon to be shouted at rudely by a member of staff that it was yet to open, All staff were rude and unhelpful and definitely would not visit again
