Great few hours, don't have to wait that long in line for the slides. Rapids was the best, kids can't stop talking about it. Lifeguards very friendly also.
Visited with my 16, 14 and 9 year old sons. Had great fun on the slides although the queues for some were quite long. The wristband system is a good idea but half the rides were on a timer anyway and the wristbands didn't seem to work on some of the others! The tv monitors and lifeguards were more reliable. At this stage of the summer it's fair to say the park needs a deep clean but the water was clean throughout - just could do with deeper water at the end of some slides. Overall an enjoyable day and 3 hours was about right in time.
Absolutely fantastic place to go. August 2022 No swimming just 10 water slides. All different levels of scaryness and ride drops, but all the rides are coded for steepness, length and height of the pool that you end up in. Lot of walking and can't imagine it during the colder months. As the outdoor slides although a sunny end of August day. My son and daughters enjoyed 2 1/2 hours of slidetastic entertainment. Nothing similar in the area, however was disappointing that there was no disabled lifts. Or any disabled facilities. As I have a paralysed right leg and can walk with a crutch, but no way that I could manage the amount of stairs required to enjoy the water park. I would have loved to have enjoyed this with my children- but had to spectate, which costs £5.50 ! You do get a free drink at the cafe, but come on, cost me £71 in total for 3 children for 2 hours and 2 spectators. I'm sure this could be easily altered for the able disabled, just by adding a few lifts to the slides. And to charge for spectators is almost criminal- as I didn't have any choice but to wait for my children. Not quite sure why they have to charge for people who either can't due to disability or simply cannot afford to pay to watch. And you can't see much from the seating area apart from a blocked view of the slides exit points. But overall my kids loved it, so did my older daughter. So prepare to be cold if your going on the slides and prepare to be bored whilst waiting 2 1/2 hours for your kids to enjoy what is a totally disabled unfriendly attraction.
I had a great time here with 2 small kids. The bad things I had heard were not true. The staff were nice and helpful and ride were great. TOP tip: Book the earliest slot and get there for 0845 then it's pretty quiet till 1030. After this it gets busy and there is a 10 minute queue for some of the rides. Enjoy!
This place is a good attraction. Lots to do for all levels of water slide riders. The reception staff guided us through what to do as it was our first time. There are plenty of Life guards all over the water park, all paying attention and giving direction to the public where needed, it was really good to see so many and so many doing their jobs well. The changing rooms were clean and there were a lot of cubicles and a lot of lockers also. I understand why there is a no watch policy, incase you catch it on a slide and rip it off or hurt yourself, but why could I not wear a watch as I had to wear my locker key on my wrist which was roughly the same size as my watch, surely the risk to me was the same. The slides are good and there is a large selection for all ages. My only complaint is that some where not easily found. You start following signs and then the signs disappear, it took me 2 attempts to find one because the sign said turn left, the next sign was high on the right up some stairs, would discs on the floor with the slides names and an arrow help maybe. I would definitely go again and I would recommend it to people.
10/10 recommend!! Flume rides are very fun and other people were great at helping one another. Some rides were more severe like the big red and yellow one but overall I enjoyed it a lot. However my wristband wasn't working.
My 12 year old loved it but glad I didn't take my 6 year old as he wouldn't have had nearly as much to do. The place is cramped and mostly tired looking but generally the cleanliness was ok. I felt very claustrophobic in the locker area and changing rooms but the shower area was huge. All the staff were very smiley, yes they were young as some reviews have pointed out but they were very professional, polite and helpful. £18 each though was a little expensive for our family. Also wish there was a proper swimming pool area and wave machine, definitely would give more stars if it had these.
Absolutely loved it and the kids had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend coming here with family or even friends. The 3 hour admissions tickets was more than enough time to go on all the slides. Mind you the swirly toilet slide I forgot the name lol took a long wait. The only item I wished they had was a sauna or a steam room to relax but other than that... It was a blast! But I can't complain for the fun and the price, it was worth it.
£18 for 3hrs sounds a lot but when you realise what you get for that it's not that bad. Very clean and staff seem like they want to be there, not like when I was younger!!! Rides are so quick you never queue for long. Loses one star because one area absolutely stinks!! It's old.
It was okay, wasn’t much slides for children under 5. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff and the slides are fun for over 5. The queuing system was fantastic and wasn’t overcrowded. Cons: the changing facilities was gross and out dated. A spectator had a dog with them on the premises and NO it wasn’t a guide dog. Overall, you get what you pay for and for a family of 4 £66 for 3hrs is a good deal. But the whole changing room fiasco has put me off from going to a water park in the U.K.
