Only open on weekends and school holidays, despite saying simply that it's open 12-6, subject to the weather. Not specifying which days of the week. And if you do go on a sunny weekend, expect almost every child in Wellingborough to be there. The winning points are the fact that it is free, and that the on site facilities are to a fairly good standard. Points lost for the sign that reads : "due to persistent vandalism, there is no longer any lie saving equipment in this area" - considering that this is a children's play area, right next to a river without a railing, I think it should still be a priority.

Good park with nice views of embankment. They gave a lot of ducks and swans. The splash park is also very fun activity there. The operator of splash is very cooperative and kind hearted.
