Its been years since I have been to Spitfire, and again not disappointed. Both the food and service were fantastic. Buffalo wings and onion strings to start with. For mains we had the St Louis Rib rack and half a boss back rib rack. Both of which were absolutely delicious, meat was tender and moist. Sides we had dirty fries and mac n cheese again, both were great. The wonderland beer was perfect with the meal and due to the different beers out server even offered a taste to help decide. Can't recommend this place enough, we will be heading back
My first time here and really enjoyed it. We both made our own plates by picking various meat dishes and sides, all of them were lovely and we were both stuffed after. Nice selection of drinks too
Just like say WOW. Amazing service and outstanding food. This is a must to go if you haven't been to Spitfire Barbecue Bristol and if it's a nice day then if you can sit outside and you will love it. Food/Drinks/Service fantastic. Lovely Polish Lady I forgot her name but she's a credit to your company and was superb. Will definitely come back in future when next in Bristol.
This place was great, we went for my birthday meal. The food is so tasty, it's like being in little USA. Service is great, friendly staff and the food comes out quickly. You'll see in the picture that we ordered a modest amount of food along with a couple of drinks, steins are available! It's also dog friendly on terrace, perfect for the summer evenings. Our little dachshund was made to feel welcome with a water bowl coming out as soon as we sat down. We will definitely be returning when we're back in Bristol.
A mixed review from me. It's 23 degrees outside on Wednesday 12pm at opening time. Were the only people outside and we ask if we can pull a table together as we're expecting 7 people. Were told no, tables of 4 only outside. They had a table for 7 inside and after cleaning the windows full of flies we settle for indoors. I order the beef brisket and spitfire sausage along with dirty fries. My food was warm and I really enjoyed it. The lady serving was very nice and polite throughout Unfortunately 2 of my friends didn't have the same top quality food I had and we made a complaint. Not expecting anything in return but just wanted to pass on a little feedback, we were offered a discount of the bill and apologies. This was a lovely gesture from management and although we were not looking for discount it was accepted. This is not the first time I've been here to eat it's probably 5th or 6th over the last 4 years. I was disappointing no to eat outside but overall I was happy with my food. The atmosphere was quite as you'd expect on a Wednesday but for me that was perfect. We will see you again!! One of the best burgers I have ever had. Lovely setting. Good beer. Ok, the service was initially a little slow, but honestly - the food was so nice and view so good who the hell cares?!?
Making the most of the good weather, got a table for 4 as a walk in on a Friday evening. The beer was good, local, 'Independence' by Bristol beer factory down the road. Followed by a mojito. Fairly hungry so went for the half rack of ribs with a number of sides for the table to share. I enjoyed the prawn king and the house slaw. Hope to be back soon.
Great food n drink, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Drink was Thatchers Haze slush, Gin lady garden. Boss back ribs, spitfire sausage, Jerk chicken with dirty fries. After Pecan pie with ice cream, and peanut butter stack. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic place to eat. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door, the food was amazing and very fairly priced! Highly recommended if I'm ever in Bristol again, I'll be going back thank you!
I had the chicken burger, with slaw and Mac and cheese on the side. It was all very tasty, particularly the burger! A nice bit of heat on the burger and Mac n cheese. I would definitely come back again, I’d like to try some of the grill items next. The location is also great, being just next to the river. The sun sets on the buildings opposite giving a lovely summer evening glow.
